I would say take it or leave it for 200. Make sure he knows you have other dragons and will make sure it has an amazing life.

I doubt he cares or he would have treated this poor bearded dragon better himself.

I would have to agree with you on that one...he just wants to make money back. It just doesn't make sense for someone to spend 250 on a dragon that will need vet care immediately. If he had a heart, he would adopt him out.

Guy has no idea how to take care of his pet

So my friend is adopting this poor dragon. I have been texting the guy for a couple hours now and he is a horrible owner. He goes days without feeding him and (ready for this) only has him in a 15 gallon tank right now :shock: He is a full grown lizard why would you do that to the poor thing

I'm glad that dragon is getting a new and better home. People just hate to hear that they are doing something wrong, especially when they think they are an expert. Owning a dragon and feeding it just enough to survive does not an expert make.

Guy has no idea how to take care of his pet

Holy cow so many things wrong with how that guy was treating that poor beardie. I can't believe he says lamps are not required because his heat pad gives him enough heat uhg. He says to be careful and research because bad diet can cause obesity yet he feeds him Pinky mice Which are high in fat and not necessary to feed captive beardies. The only good thing about this is the owner realizes he needs to be rehomed. But he still wants $100 To cover for the equipment and aquarium? What equipment? The 15 gallon tank and an unnecessary heat pad? Sorry got a little too fired up lol. I'm really glad to hear your friend is adopting it.

I am so happy!!! When I opened the link, I was furious. It seems there is not one single thing this guy is doing right.

Thank god your friend is adopting that Seattle one. Every single thing about that poor beardies care was 100% wrong. The worst part was that the guy got the beardie as a RESCUE. Can you imagine that he thinks he actually rescued that poor thing?!?!

The Sacramento is a great deal. A healthy dragon with a great enclosure. $80 is a steal for that! Too bad I'm all the way on the east coast and my husband would probably kill me if I got a third beardie!

YAY!!! Thank god for people like you! I'm so glad you were able to get a better price and most importantly I have my fingers crossed for you that he is healthy. I wish you all the best!

I was thinking about asking the Sacramento guy if I could just buy the enclosure for my Sonic, but I don't want that other beardie without an awesome home if the person that takes him needs the equipment too.

I saw this same dragon on fauna a month or 2 ago. He wanted $800! He also said the deformity wasn't a health issue and was pushing it as a breeder. I see a lot of ads that bother me and I just ignore them, but I had to send a message when I saw that one. I wasn't very nice. I pointed out that it should never be bred, he had no idea if it was a "health issue" or not, and that he wouldn't get more than 1/3rd his asking price if it was in perfect condition. I also said I would avoid his ads in the future. I dont think I was the only one who messaged him because he deleted the ad right away.

It's so sad. I avoid Craig's List at all costs and won't go to the beardie section at the pet stores. It's just infuriating.
