Nathan, I just responded on your FB message. I am so sorry, know this is very hard on you & your whole family. You certainly tried all that you could and more. I'm sure he knew that you were trying to help him and that you all cared for him very much and he loved you right back. You gave him a 2nd chance by bringing him to your wonderful home, he certainly wouldn't have survived in the pet store much longer.

Strax is now free from all pain & discomfort. He is running around and eating every feeder he can possibly find and all the other special beardies that have crossed over are watching over him now.

Hope this poem gives all of you a little comfort. I know it has helped me.

Rainbow Bridge

'There is a bridge connecting Heaven and Earth. It is called the Rainbow Bridge because of its many colors. Just this side of the Rainbow Bridge there is a land of meadows, hills and valleys with lush green grass.

When a beloved pet dies, the pet goes to this place. There is always food and water and warm spring weather. All the animals who have been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.

The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind. They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; his eager body begins to quiver. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster. You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross the Rainbow Bridge together, never again to be separated.'

It's been 2 hours since I read your post, and I don't think that even now I can express the depth of my sorrow for your loss. Little Strax was so fortunate to have become a member of your family. You all fought so hard. Poor little one was too tired to fight any more, I guess, but he had the very best family fighting alongside him. He knew that, and that he was dearly loved. Heartfelt condolences to your family. My prayers are with you, Esther

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
