Anna Belle and Vladamere's official thread.

Im not positive if I already had made a thread for both of my dragons. I had one for my oldest female, but unfortunately, I just lost her recently. So I figured I'd make one for my other 2 beardies. They are ex cage mates and breeding partners. They are both very chunky from what your going to see in the pictures. Vladamere is the "tough guy" or at least tries to be. He likes to run around most nights but on special occasion he'll chill out on the bed with me. As for Anna Belle I just acquired her recently from the same couple I got Vladamere from. She's a very sweet girl and likes to just chill most nights, but on occasion wants to get down off the bed to go explore. They both have pretty bad tail nips from failed breeding attempts on the previous owners part and one of them even broke the others leg. So without further ado.... Let's get to the pictures!

Hope everybody enjoys the pictures and the many stories and many more pictures I will be sharing on their thread. Those pictures of Vlad are from about 2 weeks ago when he was going through a pretty bad shed. I will get new pix of him this weekend to show him off now that he's all done shedding.

Small correction to your post. It'll be 3 dragons taking over the white house and rearranging my house. My mom has her own baby beardie that she bought a few months ago. He's still small, but he is growing rapidly. So before you know it, He'll be like Vlad.

Appease with delightful salads and superworms. Should you find blue prints, appease with waxworms immediately. Snuggle time to the max. This could possible stop the invasion

They get plenty of snuggles. Vladamere really hasnt ever been to fond of cuddles. He's always wanted to be out exploring and im sure plotting his plans. But lately, He's been willing to give in and cuddle alittle bit. Both Vladamere and Anna Belle get nightly cuddles and if I put them back in their cage at all at night, It's usually not until 3 or 4'oclock in the morning. Some nights they even get their own special little make shift bed used from my spare pillows and blankets and sleep there until morning. As for food, Well... I mean, I dont think they look deprived. They devour any and all food I give them. Except for Anna Belle, She's got me trained. She wont eat her veggies unless they are hand fed to her and dangled in front of her face. And even then... She still takes her sweet time eating them and has to make sure she chews every peice of veggie properly before she swallows it and then she's gotta lick her snout and then she has to sit there for a few minutes before she starts staring at me to let me know she wants more.

So, I would just like to share alittle update with everybody. You all know by now Anna Belle and Vlad's back story and history. Well so far Anna Belle has been great. She is very lovable and loves to cuddle. Anyways, I gave her a few days to adjust when I first got her. After that I started taking her out and working with her immediately every night. It took her awhile to figure my bed out. She didnt quite understand it. I always bring my beardies up on the bed and they are free to get down if they wish. Well, It took Anna Belle awhile to figure that out. And she still hasnt fully figured it out. She usually gets half way down my bed and then turns around and climbs back up and looks at me like "Umm Dad! What is this human contraption?! Why cant I figure out how to get down off of it?!" Well she is finally starting to learn how to get down herself. Yay! I feel like a very happy beardie dad. Anyways, I know it's not a major or interesting peice of news, But it was to me!

So, I would just like to share yet another cute story with everybody. It's about Anna Belle. I know I seem to share more cute stories about Anna belle. But that's because Vlad tries to be more of the tough guy. So, When I got her, The previous owners informed me that they hand fed her veggies. Well to make that long story short, She doesnt fully understand the purpose of a bowl or what exactly a veggie bowl is. So I have to hand feed her. I stuck my hand in her cage with her bowl of veggies and held it up to her face and tilted the bowl sideways so she could see the veggies. Well she looked at me and then looked at the veggies and put her 2 front feet on it and looked at me like "This better be the good stuff or you sleep with the crickets!" Anyways, She started chowing down. I had to move my hand a few times because I was starting to cramp up. And everytime I would move my hand and the bowl away from her, She would look up at it and follow it and then look back at me like: "You better bring my bowl back and give me those veggies!" My arm started to really cramp up and I couldnt keep holding the bowl, So I set the bowl on my lap and would put some of her veggies into my hand and pinch them between my thumb and index finger and let her eat it. Anyways, I just wanted to share Anna Belle's cuteness. By the way, I have not foregotten about the pictures. My dad is still in Nebraska and wont be home until tuesday evening. And then he's going to be going back up in about 3 weeks. So I will definately be taking some new pictures of Vlad and Anna Belle before he goes just incase he takes the camera again.

The photos are great! I'm still trying to sort out if either of mine will be cuddle bugs. I've only had them for 3 weeks or so and I feel they are still adjusting. I hope at least one of them is!

I would just like to send a shout out to the mods for taking care of the spambot issue, I really appreciate it!

I get my camera back tomorrow evening when my mom goes to pick my dad up from the airport. It may have to charge for a day, So I will try to get pictures within the next few days.

I had Anna Belle and Vlad out tonight like any night. Vlad was hogging my spare pillow and Anna Belle was layin next to my arm just chilling. They stared at each other for awhile and then Vlad slid off the pillow a few times and onto my bed. When he slid down, I put him back up and positioned him so he wouldnt slide right back down. Well one of the times I put him back up, He shifted his weight backwards and slid all the way down off of my pillow and onto the floor. He had a really guilty look on his face when he fell, But it was kind of funny. I checked him over, He didnt have any injuries, So that was good.

I just thought I would share today's Beardie Events. Vlad has now discovered Pillow Boarding, Or Pillow Surfing, lol.

I know I promised I would have new pictures by tonight. Unfortunately, I've been so busy that I havent been able to snap any. I've got a huge move coming up in a couple months and my family is preparing for yard sales we're having over the next few months, and things have just gotten crazy.
