An Unusual Locust....???

I went to my normal pet shop this morning to get Jade's weekly load of locusts, back home when I was feeding him some I got the fright of my life when a huge black one appears from under the sawdust!! The others are the usual yellow with dark areas, but this one is completely black. I haven't seen one like this before, does anyone know whether it could be harmful? I know I am probably just being a drama queen...but I hope someone can put my mind at ease. Thanks in advance.

Arent those the ones that invade farm land and whip out there crops. I'm sure we can't buy those here in the states or can we. I'm sure the dark one was like there are many diff color crikets.

I got one of those evil black ones in my little guys supply last week..... it really freaked me out - and im not really scared of bugs at all any more. It really was horrible! My OH had to feed him that day.... I couldnt even look at the box for fear IT would jump out at me!! Anyway, Kazi apaprently pounced on it and it hasnt had any ill effects!
