Am I over feeding my beardie?

I leave veggies for him in his VIV and he eats them throughout the day, not a huge amount. He picks through and eats the squash before the greens.

I feed him twice a day and daily he can eat anywhere from 20-70 crickets. I feed him for 10 minutes until he starts to ignore them so I don't think I am over feeding him, but on days where he does eat 70 is that to much?

He is about 3 1/2 months old and 11.5"

Taterbug hit that on the nose. Your dragon is at his eating prime. As long as he's pooping regularly then he's OK.

I too have the same question. My friends that have a beardie say I'm feeding my Zeld to much. Zeld is 6 1/2 inches long. We have had him for a month and a half and he has grown a full inche. He is eating his greens (given in the morning), crickets and mealworms (changed to Phoenix Worms med. size) at 5pm CST. Poops every day. I have been feeding him about 7 to 9 live food a day. Is that to much? They said that the size of a beardies tummy is an eraser. I have cut it down to 5 a day. Please help!

For a little baby, eating little crickets they will be a black hole for a while. Zeld would probably appreciate more bugs, or even more feedings. Little dragons are often fed 2-3 meals per day. Their little bellies expand quite a bit, and I was amazed at the size if the poops they can make. The consensus around here and elsewhere is they can have as many as then can eat in about 10 minutes. They will know when they are full.

I think I've read a human stomach (empty) is about the size of a fist.
