I have a 11 month old rescue and I was just wondering if I was feeding her correctly for her age. I currently give her a salad in the morning (at about 8) and let her munch on it whenever she feels hungry (she eats a decent amount of her salad, sometimes she eats it all), and at around 3:30pm, I let her eat as many insects as she wishes for 10 minutes. Is this fine?

as many crickets as she wishes. well when I feed mushu I feed him 5-10 size 3 crickets once a day this was recommended by the shop and he seems to be active and pooing so I guess it's working out for him.

How old is your beardie? Unless its an adult, it should be having alot more than that (Im assuming its a baby if you just got it from a pet shop). 99% of the time, pet store workers are wrong. For a young dragon, as much as they can eat in 15 minutes 3X a day is what they should be eating.

he's 4 months old but I doubt that the people there are wrong seen as one of them is a qualified zoologist and rest of them fanatics anyway I'm not feeding him pinheads I'm feeding him 3/8 crickets.

a 4-month old should definitely be eating more than 5-10 3/8" crickets a day. when falkor was 4 months old, she was eating 10 times that much.

that looks to be the right size. are you giving him as much as he can eat in 10-15 minutes? or are you just putting 7 in and calling it a day? he is growing and really needs a lot of protein to support that growth.

no I don't I just put 7 or a bit more in because I look at his belly and think how could he eat more than 10 of those crix a day where would he put them you know i don't want to overfeed him

I gotta agree - 5 to 7 of those crickets doesn't seem anywhere near enough. Dash eats about 40 of those a day, sometimes 50 or 60 if he's not had much salad. He's currently 3 months old.

oh guys your making me feel like a bad daddy I guess I was mislead because I worked at the same place I got him from for two weeks and was told to feed the beardies there about that much so I thought thats how much you feed them, although toyguy 50 or 60 are you joking thats loads.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
