Am I babying my Beardie too much?

Nope, that's not babying your beardie at all! My husband and I are retired and take all of our beardies out often thru out the day
for a cuddle and a hold or to run around for a bit for excercise. My husband even has staggered the light timer on them. 7am to
7pm for the younger ones we just got and 7am to 8pm for our older ones. And yup, I kiss my beardies too! They only ever poo
in the bath and are rinsed under running water afterwords. Their house is spotless! They are very clean! I've never gotten sick either!

I'll share something that tickles us! If we, by chance, are not home at lights out Talon and Moya will still be laying drowsily awake waiting
for us to wrap and cuddle them before they will, almost immediately, go to sleep. I'm sure as the younger ones realize how nice it is,
they will be doing the same thing!

I don't think so. I hold my baby for hours. I don't see him all day when at work so he has all day to bask, eat, etc. In the evening he can be cuddling with me for up to 4 hours, just sleeping soundly. I never thought I could love a lizard as much as I love him. I got Houdini shortly after having to put my male Pomeranian down and I think my love has transferred from Joey to him. It may not be healthy but I don't care, I have a lot of love to share. I'm probably making a huge mistake but I even give him little kisses. I'm sure I'm not the only person that does that. I guess I'm risking an illness but I'm curious to know if anyone has gotten sick from their beardie.

I had a pomeranian too. Her name was Lily. They are wonderful dogs. I'm sorry that you had to put yours down. I know that I still miss mine so much, and she passed away almost three years ago. My love for her has definitely transferred to Custard I think it's healthy. I also gave Custard a kiss... once :lol: .

Yes, Poms are just amazing. My Joey was the best and he and Patti got me through some pretty tough times.
Here's a picture of them both, Joey is the darker one. I have this picture tattooed on my back and just got a copy blown up an hung on my livingroom wall. I still miss him a lot as well and I hope when Patti's time is up that she goes in her sleep as I never want to make that decision ever again.

I still kiss Houdini all the time, it feels nice kissing his beard.

Same with my Lily. I had her through my parent's divorce. I was so sad when she passed away. Lily went in her sleep. I still miss her like crazy. I have never loved an animal like I loved her. I had to make that decision before with Blondie, an older Cairn Terrier I adopted because her owner passed away. It is such a hard choice to make. I am sure you did the right thing. My Nana wouldn't put her beloved spaniel to sleep, and I had to watch her dog slowly whither away

On a lighter note, I have been kissing Custard more

I've got four dogs that live with me. I have a black Lab named Spike (Spikey), a flat coat retriever (Dollie, older than dirt, senior dog), A black-brown hound mix (Pongo), and a Plotthound (Sadie). Then I've got two fish: Leo the Kuhlii Loach, and Pepper: A spotted cory cat. A parakeet named Pretty Boy, and a gerbil named Wilson (Wilson, named from the character off of House. We call him Will.) And we have a horse living next to us named Jack. His owner couldn't find a name. So we named him. And we have Allie who has a bunch of energy since getting a new set up and lights.

I'm sorry for the loss of your Pom.
