All about Pearl :) watch her grow up through pics!

Hi Beardie lovers

I just bought my very first bearded dragon at an expo 4 days ago, and i love her to pieces<3 I knew I couldn't leave that reptile expo without her... I couldn't resist her cute lovable face.
I've officially named her Pearl, shes about 8 inches long (tail included). I don't know much about bearded dragons but this site helped me out so much and I'm hoping to learn lots more! I want only the best for her She is a leatherback.

The day I first brought her home 7/28/12

7/30/12 My boyfriend Measuring how tiny she is hehe.. I think it's so cute how her tail has stripes but in the middle there's an 'x' .

8/1/12 Pearls First bath She's shedding !

I have no idea how she got up there, but she sleeps so funny <3

I can't wait until she fully gets settled in, i'm dying to hold her more!
The first 2 days I brought her home she barely ate. But yesterday and today she seems to be eating more and more I am so excited to own my first Beardie. I will deff be posting new pics, I kinda want to make this album of showing her growing up to a big and healthy adult

Im relieved that my beardies arent the only ones not eating much on the first couple of days. I just got my 3 yesterday and was worried about the fact that they werent eating too well.

8/17/12 Its been 3 weeks since we got her, shes finally warming up to us and she eats like a champ!!!

I got my first beardie on August 1 so we are in the same boat and learning together. A month ago I couldn't even tell you what a beardie looked like, now she is my world (and sleeping under my hoodie as I type this). I am so thankful for this site and everyone here. Aw thank you My little angel will be 12 weeks old on Thursday, the breeder said (and showed me) that she is a she. As I type this she is on my tee shirt, bundled up in her blankie, under my hoodie, which is under my jacket, sound asleep with her head just about on my collar bone. We do this every night. I put her in the same spot and she falls asleep instantly. I've learned that I need to warm her blankie with the hair dryer until it's nice and cozy. She stays there until I got to bed. Funny, I can do chores, make all kinds of noise, bend over so she is technically upside down and she doesn't even tense a muscle. lol She is very trusting of me and quite the little cuddle bug!! I love this little thing so much.

My daughter got the bright idea to get a beardie (she is 18, but I still knew how this was going to go down!). First one she got from Craig's List and she died 2 days later, she was so sick.Tt\hat destroyed me. Then I found a wonderful woman who had 2 happy, healthy, feisty little girls and we got my little Zoey. We got her 3 weeks ago on Wednesday. The novelty had worn off for my daughter (it wore off in about 2 days. :roll: ), so now I am her mommy. Fine with me! My husband on the other hand...still calls her "that lizard". lol I'm working on him though.

I have a bunch of pics in Beardie Tales, title is Zoey's Tales and Pics. She is 10 inches of pure entertainment and as far as I am concerned, love. Yup, I'm hooked.
