agressive angry beardie?

hey all just wondering.....

during the whole winter months (in canada, manitoba) glenn was super apathetic and chilled out barely awake i presume it was brumation now that its been spring and summer he's super agressive bearding and hissing

Just keep trying, very calmly and patiently to pat him gently on his back. If he wont let you do this without hissing, just put your hand in occasionally and keep it there until he stops hissing. This is what I did when mine got a bit antsy at first. During brumation he probably just got used to not having people bothering him. Hope this helps!

hand feeding them helps them learn that human hands are good things -- it sounds like his aggression may be coming from fear -- suddenly he's really awake and confronted by a giant -- figure how much bigger you are and imagine something you don't trust and that much bigger than you trying to pat you -- when ours was little, before we ever pet him or carried him around, we let him climb on us when he chose to [we'd put him on the dining room table and one of us would stand guard while the other sat there, put her head down and pretended to be asleep].
