Accurite Temp Gauge

I have one of these thermometers on Norberts basking spot. Naturally, he's decided to poop on it several times. It will no longer stick to the basking spot. I've tried 2 sided carpet tape, and it holds for maybe a day.

Has anyone had this problem and solved it? I really don't want to keep having to be probes.

I use a temp gun. Works really well
