If you were not down under I would offer the services of my crazy cricket eating cats.

I have two cats now that will eat crickets like crazy. So I let them hang out when I clean cricket bins.....they eat them ALLLLLLLL!!!!

Take out all the pets and turn off all pilot lights and raid bomb them....

lol, hmmn, don't think the other half would be too pleased with scorch marks up the kitchen wall.

Keschete, that's a beautiful girl you've got there! I used to have a short haired torti that was crazy, and yeah, she used to catch wild crickets from outside, then half maim them and bring them in the house as presents... don't think she ever ate any tho'

Yeah, I think we're just going to have to put up with the chirping until they all die... although, you couldn't tell the difference between the ones chirping in the box and the ones that escaped...

the gap between the bench and the oven is too narrow and deep to be able to poke at 'em with a skewer.. I'll give the vacuum a whirl, but I don't think I'm going to have much luck... poops. :|

Off topic a bit.. but I noticed your cat has nail tips! I was thinking of getting them for my dogs :) Did they have any trouble adjusting to having them on?

I have a few escapee's in my house too....when i try to get the crickets out to feed my girl they sumtimes escape na re so damn quick. At night time when we sit n watch a movie with lights off u can hear them!

Two weeks now. TWO WEEKS! I've had two escapee crickets behind the dryer in the kitchen. They WILL NOT stop chirping. :banghead: I've tried the vacuum and poking around the back with any long pointy implement I can find ...but now all I can do is kick the dryer when I pass and that stops them chirping for a couple of seconds. :angry5:
I'm sorry, I've no help to offer you. I just wanted to sympathise :(

So, my crickets are migrating.... I found one creeping across the wall in the loungeroom last night. my frogs got a tasty unexpected treat! Husband says the sound of the crix are better than the electric humm and the gushing sound of some of my old fish tank filters, and the barking of the rabid dogs...

If you wanted to contain the in one area you could put duct tape stick-side up on the floor and I would think they'd get stuck on that.

lol, I can just imagine the husband getting up in the middle of the night to get a drink and getting stuck/tripping over the gaffer-trap in the dark... funny for me, not so much for him.

I have had this happen more times than i care to admit. leaving TP tubes or paper towel tubes on the floor around where they are loose will help contain them... they will crawl into the tubes and you can shake them into a better container :)

good luck!

That sucks... They sell sticky pads for rats and mice. I would say put one under your stove x).

Im still fairly new to Bearded Dragons so I havnt lost a one yet x)

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
