Okay so I got Lu (of undetermined sex so I like to throw around a lot of pronouns) after I graduated last summer. He's always had a great appetite and I thought he would grow up to be a pretty big dragon and she is about 17 inches now which is pretty great. But I had to leave for 6 months after summer to work in California and the friend who bought Lu for me, volunteered to take care of her. He's a pretty experienced herp-sitter with two leopard geckos and a ball python so he was feeding Lu well, maintaining light and heat and all that until she suddenly went into brumation and freaked us out.
Now I'm back, Lu is finally awake and we have all this bonding time but he looks so thin to me. I don't know if I'm being paranoid but I feel like he alternates blinking eyes a lot and even though she's ravenous for protein she doesn't seem super interested in veggies. I just started a new diet yesterday with more mustard and collard greens as opposed to the kale and bell peppers that I had tons of in my house and I'm also trying out phoenix worms instead of mealworms. But today, Lu dropped this seemingly unpleasant bowel that had bits of undigested mealworm in it (see picture) and I'm starting to wonder if I should take her to a vet. What do you guys think?
