Aw! Poor Flip! I'm glad you got everything figured out though.

I'm glad you're getting recognized for all the hard work, love, and time you're putting into Flipper. You really do deserve all credit.

I hope all goes well for Flipper and that yucky abscess will heal up soon! :D

:D :D  What a great update! It sure is encouraging to see other people noticing a difference in him. Other than is mouth abscess, has he been pretty easy to take care of lately?

Flippy is doing good. And no he is not very easy to take care of. He needs constant care pretty much. Between meds and hand feedings and baths, well, it's alot of work. Here's a kicker, the woman that I got him from got -not one but 2 - new beardies, juvvies, and one ate the toes off the other. She's also added added a water dragon and something else I can't remember. Some people! I tried to rescue another beardie too. Someone posted on the evil Craigslist that they needed help with a dragon not eating or pooping. I sent an email suggesting they check out this site and she could call me if she wanted to. Then she asked me if I wanted him-she couldn't do it anymore. I was gonna pick it up tomorrow and I just got the message he died. I'm so bummed! But I just had a bad feeling about it.

That is such a shame that this lady has so many new reptiles and obviously can't take care of them. Hard to believe people can't learn from their mistakes. And wow it really is sad that the beardie that you were thinking of helping died. You probably already do have your hands full, but I know it's hard to turn something away that needs help.

I'm glad to hear Flippy is doing good with all your love and care. I hope he continues to improve, and gets easier to care for.

I'm glad to hear that Flip is still going on strong. He's a trooper & a fighter! :D

That's a shame that the poor beardie couldn't be helped. But, let's look at this way. It's better that he's not suffering anymore, because he probably was suffering anyway. He's happier with other beardies who passed away with endless crickets to chase and salads to eat :D

Wow, why would she buy any more pets? It's a shame that the poor baby got his toes eating. Beardies are really strong creatures. Imagine your toes being bitten off by someone. I don't think I'd be able to handle that. That's so terrible. I pray for those animals, that this person will take good care of them.

Hi! Flip is doing pretty darn good. He still won't eat on his own and I have to feed him every day. His CHE blew and knocked out the fuse and it took me awhile to figure out what it was. So he had a cold night. We did have some more bad news around here, my 15yold kitty born without front legs passed away after a long two days of mini strokes. It was tough on everyone especially my 11 year old daughter.
I wish people would stop thinking of reptiles as disposable pets. It would make my life and most the people on here's life alot better. But then we wouldn't have anything to rant about, would we?

So sorry about your kitty :(

Glad Flip is doing good. I'm happy to hear that he's actually getting the life he deserves. Good job to you :D

Don't we all wish people would stop mistreating them? I mean, personally I would rather not have to rant about the terrible conditions the animals are in. Hopefully one day people will realize they're living creatures too, not pieces of trash.

Flip has given up. Found him just a few minutes ago. His lights just turned on. The abcess in his mouth was very slow in healing. And he never could eat on his own. I think the neurological damage was just too great. I was syringe feeding him up to the end. I'm still holding him on my chest thinking rather automatically that he needs to warm up. Kinda numb even tho I knew it was coming.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
