A human and his beardie - One sleepy dragon.

You ever get that feeling about your beardie that you just can't shake. The one where while you're sitting at work you just can't wait to hold you're beardie when you get home. Charmander and me have that connection, I picked her out at petsmarts amongst 20 babies. She was the obvious choice she stood out and didn't back down to my approaching finger like the rest of them. Instead she bared her teeth and held her tail high! I knew she was the perfect choice I'll never forget the fire in her eyes that day a spark that said "I'm a fighter and I will never give up!" Once I got her home she had calmed down and began the very stressful task of Adabting to her new home. The whole day I sat and watched her not once was she nervous or scared and not once did she show signs of stress. Even though everything was new to her she went about everything ready to take it on all at once! She grew on me faster than ever expected her firey eyes and spirit quickly became my life! More and more I found myself thinking of her, at work, in class, even when I left to go smoke outside! She had become my everything and I write this in honor of our love and companionship! As I watch her in her tank in the early morning light, fast asleep I wonder what she dreams about. I love my Charmander more than anything and as I write tears swell in my eyes, not tears of sadness but tears of love and joy. I know in my soul that the next 10 years will be the bet of my life! So here's to you lil lady, my everything, my soul mate, my best friend, my little Charmander! May are lives forever be intertwined!

Hahaha good I'm glad she's feeling better so is Char! She's a freaken mystery that's for sure but isn't that true for all women lol!

Update time bc we all love to read derricks constant ramblings of Char! She doing much better this morning she did not want to wake up! I turned her lights on and she very slowly stumbled on to her basking rock after warming up she curdled up again and tried to back to sleep but much to her dismay it was bath time. After bath I tried to feed her but she ate last night so ended up ignoring her food. It's kind of a good thing I need to get her to start eating her veggies again. So far it's been a struggle I hope she begins to eat them again soon. It's awfully cold down in here in the basement so I'm going to provide a night basking bulb to keep the temps up durning lights out unfortunately all I have is a purple light. I know I know a CHM is always best but given my current situation that's out of the question. So she will have to deal with it for now. Anyways I will have the vet weigh her bc I can't get a scale she does look like she's at a good weight right now. I haven't measured her but it does look like she's grown a little bit since last week. Geez I wonder how big she's going to be when she an adult! Well it's time to get ready for work.

LOL! :lol: Oh, sure! I post 2 pics so you post 1000,000! Jerk! LOL! :lol: They're all very nice. I love the one with you to together. You can clearly see she is giving a big snuggle! :love5: I'm sorry you're in the basement It's tuff sucking up your pride when all you want is to be left the heck alone! (I know this very well... :roll: ) It'll be worth it in the end though. It's a LONG life (hopefully, for all of us) and this is just a speed bump. Try to take sometime for yourself you're a good daddy and a good person. Keep it that way! (by relaxing a little) Even if it's just you going for a walk to quiet the mind. You've earned it and I mean that.

In regards to being in the basement don't even worry about it the basement was my room while I was growing up its nostalgic for me I haven't gotten such a goods nights sleep in a long while when I was living on my own I hardly got as good a sleep as the last couple days it makes me feel at home!

LOL! :lol: Better to look 17 at age 21, then to look 50! I'm slowly coming up to 30 (1 & 1/2 more years to go :roll: ) and am thrilled when I get I.D.-ed! You'll miss it one day! LOL! :lol:

That's actually very interesting. My room was always in the basement when I was growing up and now I'm very comfortable in my own basement apartment! It's quite large and I have nice big windows, so I may never move! I don't want a mortgage again. I'm just plain happy here

Friday will be my day to just sit and hang with char all day!

There's nothing like down time with a friend. My life has given me some curve balls lately Myah seems to just melt the stress off of me. Char will be thrilled

This morning Charmander had diaherra! A slave can't catch a break what's wrong with her this time. Maybe it was something she ate or she's had an upset stomach for the last couple days. It was watery well more like mucusy I know very gross imagine having to clean it.she seems fine I'm currently giving her a bath bc she lost a lot of fluids from that one. I'll keep you all posted on how she's doing through out the day.

Awww I know what you mean! I have a little Charmander too! She was the closet animal I could get to a Pokemon and sometimes I do imagine her being able to blow fire! I hope you have a great life with your little charmander.
