The natural sunshine is great for them. I don't know if it will help with his issues but if it makes him happy i would take him out as much as possible.

Poor guy!
We all support whatever decision you make. Since he isn't black bearding right now, he shouldn't
be in too much pain.
Did you start giving food slurries daily, to help with hydration? What protein are you giving him?
The UVB light looks like it is a bit far from him, remind me again which one you have?
Is Allopurinol the only medication you are using for him?

Thank you. His main food right now consists of Critical Care herbivore. I add a little calcium and a little kidney support from Bug de lite. Every couple days I try to get him to eat some silkworms but now I have to trick him to eat them. He's also been doing this gulping thing for weeks now every minute or two. The regular vet thinks it's a pain response but no black beard so I don't know. The UVB is a T5 I got it because I thought it can be placed on top. I thought only T8 had to be inside. I have the 120 gal from dubia. Com. It's not the fine mesh. He is on Allopurinol, Metacam and an antibiotic because he was showing signs of mouth infection. Do you know what the gulping thing he does is?
