A female entered the house male gone mad

So hunter is 7 months old and the center of attention most attention he doesnt want he's very independent! U can Handel him for 5-10 mins at a time! Well he seems pretty happy untill now! Last night I adopted an over a yr old but very small female! She's housed on the other side of the room
And he can't see her At all, he can see a lighted cage though! he noticed something was up as soon as he warmed up. Black bearding puffed and head bobbing!! ( never headbobbed before) so the question is will he always be a mad man now?

If there in the same room and he can see the cage he CAN definitely see her, you might want to consider moving one of them, they can see predators, prey, and potential mates up to 100 feet away.

Yes, even if *you* can't see her from his viv.....he CAN see her clearly. Too stressful for him, better to put the vivs side by side if possible or in seperate rooms although I bet you want them in the same room

Just get the viv entirely out of his view b/c it is just going to be too much for him and will eventually stress her out as well.

She is sooo pretty btw!

I have been wondering recently after watching my own dragons if there are some chemical signals being given off. I see the same excited behavior out of my males that can't see the females but they seem to know. They just know.

This sounds like my male lol I had him housed in a separate room from my females until about a month ago. He had never once even swelled up until the day I moved them in to their new enclosures and he caught glimpse (and I assume scent) of Rory. He went mad for a week thrashing, headbobbing, turning black and attacking his lights. Now he sits on the back of the couch and stares at her cage without even bearding lol He raises his head up and stares for a while but that's it.
