Wow! Thats fantastic! It looks fab! When I get a 4 foot probably in a couple of years or so I want to do some kind of diy to the inside to make it unique and fun for my beardie :)

I'm planning to build my beardies their own enclosures soon and getting ideas from what others have done. I really like the way you did the shelving in this. It seems to maximize the amount of floor space he has to run around, while still having something to climb around on. Beautiful stain. Quality work, I really like it. What did you use for flooring?

Hi seymour,

Glad you liked it. For the flooring i just used 12x12 ceramic tiles that i had to cut only a bit to get snug fit. I didnt grout or seal them for cleaning purposes. They do have a texture on them to help with filing the nails down. The tiles were under $2 each. And yes i wanted to maximize all the space in the enclosure as i could. To hold the paver blocks i just used metal shelving brackets and spray painted them to match the vents. The brackets are dirt cheap as well.

It is just mounted on the top as well as the other fixtures. Everything is grounded as well. Similar to the crossfire enclosure guide. I drilled a small hole in the back for the wires to go through so they cannot really be seen.

Well as far as the time, finishing the wood took the bulk of the time. Between sanding, staining, sealing, etc took about a week and a half. I wanted it to look like a nice piece of furniture in my living room so i took the time to do it correctly. As far as cost it was close to $300. The 3/4 sheet of oak plywood was $50, the 1/4 inch plexiglass was $50, the vents were close to $50, the lights i got from amazon so they were pretty inexpensive. The paver blocks on the inside were approx $2 a piece and the tiles were about the same. So to make a long story short it can get pricey depending on what you want.

300 your so lucky Mine is an extremely intricate modern cage. Similar to Cages By Design except it has more detail and time and money put into it. It cost about 500 to make and that doesnt include the stand! It took us a YEAR to build it!

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
