So i have been doing my research and here is my viv. 40gal tank.. 24" Reptisun UVB tube light. 150watt flood light from Home Hardware. The light is dimmed down to get 107-109f at the hotest spot on the basking area. the cool side is 80f. i plan on putting slate tile down and putting a background on. I have 500 circkets and 200 pheonix worms standing by. Anyone see anything that looks off? lol

Please ignore the ghetto hanging method of my UVB light. A wire coat hanger works amazing.

Im gonna re-arrange the wood and rocks on the cool side. Get her a new hide and a move the food dish over abit so the greens arent in the blasting heat. Is my probe on the right spot of the basking area?

I'm not an expert, but the only thing I would suggest (if your beardie will be in the tank before you put the tile in) would be to put some paper towels down instead of just the glass. I think it helps with traction and I *know* it helps with clean up. :)

Ooh, also, you may want to add a light to the dark side, not for heat, but just for light. I use a 40w coil bulb (they don't give off much heat) to brighten up the cool side of the viv. Beardies like light

Oh yah i will be putting something down at least.... if i dont get the tile in time. I have a 18" light from an aquarium the i was going to put on the other side of the tank to brighten it up. It wont give off any heat.

I was reading another post about taking temps in the viv, surface temp vs. air temp. As you can see in the second picture that is where my sensor is sitting and i am getting about 105f right at that point. Is this correct? the actual surface temp is abit lower.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
