Hello Melissa,

Those capsules of powder will be fine. You can just mix it up with water or juice, or sprinkle some o her greens/veggies.
Sure, I can send my email to you & you can email me the blood tests if you would like.
The metacam is for pain management & should only be used temporarily but not long term.
If you suspect respiratory issues, then you can try the Baytril again as directed per the dose last time. Do you have a nebulizer?
The colloidal silver can be used to help boost immune system function as well as in a nebulizer, too.
Are you keeping her tank around 80 overnight to help boost her immune system?

I am sorry she is still not doing well. Keep us posted on her.

Would HATE to use the baytril if I don't have to. Yes I have a neb machine. How much would I give her in it? I never used it, just sitting here as a just in case thing, yes temps been 80 at night. She seems a little better today, It seems she is dehydrated again as her urates are not good. How many cc's of liquid a day should I give her? I give her 1cc of cherry juice and water mix, 2cc of Greens mixed in electrolytes and .6 cc of the serrapeptase. I can't find any good greens lately either in case it is her kidneys... Which makes me upset, they were all gone except collared and mustard and squashes. I know they are not the best choices if there are Kidney issues going on. Does Gout cause breathing issues? I have no idea what it could be really. Can dehydration cause breathing issues? I am trying to figure out what I could be dealing with here and it's driving me crazy. Her breathing is better today. But she had some good and bad days last time as well before it got just BAD.

Hello Melissa,

I know, & understand totally. What you could do for now is simply use the colloidal silver in the nebulizer treatments to see if that begins to help out before starting her on the Baytril.
I forgot you have my email so just send the blood test results anytime.
You can give 2-4mls daily to help with hydration if she will take that much.
It is getting a little harder to find greens now, so just do the best you can with that.
Gout can cause temperature regulation issues as they may get overheated more easily. Try to keep her basking temperatures to a minimum if you can. Maybe 96-98F, max.
I hope she is feeling better soon.

Let us know how she is doing.

Okay I am noticing it is the same symptoms as I went back to look at pics and the bloating was there at that time as well 3 months ago. She is actually doing better today and had a nice urate. Can you explain how she could gain so much overnight and lose just as much overnight within like 4 to 5 days? here is a pic of her bloated like 4 days ago and now today? http://i167.photobucket.com/albums/u131/tinkerbellphat/autograph/Untitleddddffgg.png

Hello Melissa,

I did get your email, so let me look over that for you.
I am not sure how on earth the bloating could be that pronounced & in a few days be gone.
Gout can cause bloating/swelling but not quite like that. The only thing I can think of of would be fluid build up from kidney or liver issues. I don't know she could lose that much bloat though in a few days.
Did you reduce her insects weekly?

She has been on a diet if that is what you want to call it since she got sick the first time. She got cut back on live food to 2 to 3 medium roaches 2 times a week with a super, or a silk, I mean I have dug into even the roach chow to figure out if the roaches are too much protein. Silks are awesome but their protein content is the highest of all the feeders. So I'm like what am I suppose to feed her? She rarely gets a treat like a horn or wax. I'm sooooo stumped on this...

Hello Melissa,

You are doing fine, the protein levels should be good with the limited feeders you are giving.
Continue with oral fluids, greens slurries if you are doing those.
I hope the nebulizer treatment went well today & that she didn't mind it. How long did you try it for?
Are her colors looking good also?

Her color is good her beard did get a little dark on the sides today. I don't know what irritated her. She wasn't very happy when she woke up this morning. I put 1.5 ml in it and just let it go until it was out. I don't know if I am doing it right though. I put a towel over her tank and stuck it in the side hole vent and just let it go? Is this more effective than using it orally?

Hello,

How is she doing today?
Oh ok, you nebulized inside of her tank? Well, she most likely got the large portion of it then. You can also build one out of a plastic bin, too.
When it comes to pneumonia or other stubborn respiratory issues, nebulization is extremely effective because they don't have cilia in their lungs to help clear out debris from infections. The meds penetrate lung tissues more effectively when breathing it in like that.
I hope she is feeling better today.

Yes in the tank, She is right next to the vent hole so it is getting to her pretty well. She is doing okay today it seems. It's a up and down thing really... Hopefully just up from here on out... :) It's kinda funny watching her watch the vapor from the neb. She seems kinda amused by it. lol She does start taking deeper breaths when I use it like she wants it? So I guess that's a good thing. She kept her color pretty good today and no black bearding. Today was a good day overall. She didn't eat her greens this morning but did get her to eat some this afternoon. Just had to baby her and hand feed her.. But whatever works.. lol She loves the serrapeptase, it must taste like candy to her or something.

Hello Melissa,

That is helpful when they are cooperative when taking meds or in this case the nebulization treatment. So she likes to watch the mist? LOL That is pretty funny actually. If she is taking in a good amount of it then you can continue the treatments that way then.
It sounds like she felt a little better today if she did eat some greens & doesn't have a black beard.
That is good she likes the serrapeptase also. Maybe she will just continue to improve & have more good days.

I was going to ask you the Spirulina I bought, Is that anything good to give her? I have not opened it yet and noticed it today in the box of stuff I have. lol Yes she likes to watch the vapor it is funny she did it again today and she likes to breath it in heavy. She is doing good today, I am going to get her some pumpkin or something don't seem like what is going in is what is coming out. She goes but feel like it should be more. Urates were little again today. I am going to give her some more electrolyte mix, do you know a good dose on that stuff?

Hello Melissa,

Sure, the spirulina has some protein & other vital minerals, etc which would be very healthy for her.
I am glad she had a good day today with her breathing! I guess the mist/vapor is soothing possibly.
Do you have the liquid electrolytes? You can give .5ml to 1ml several times per week.
Were her urates soft or hard?

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
