How do you know when to cut out the middle feeding?

Personally I only feed twice for both of my dragons and they are fine

The only time I feed extra is if I have tons off feeders left

Salad in the morning

5 pm first feeding

10 pm second feeding, my dragon seems to be going very fast and healthy as well

Mines isn't that old but it's up to u how much u want to feed him.i always do 2 feeds tho

I do one feeding in the morrings. My son gets on the bus at 7 am so lights on at 6ish around 7:30 i put is feeders in. then when I get up from a nap. I but in is sald then at night I but more feeders around 5ish. I have only had his for a few days. the baby.

I have only done 2 feedings a day for my guy since I got him as that is all that my schedule really allows. If you cut it down to 2 feedings, just make sure he always has plenty of greens available to nibble on in between feedings.

I work from home but I dont want to let him get use to 3 times a day just in case I have to travel. May be I will just slow down the middle feeding get it to nothing and give him a top off of greens at mid day.

Also another option that I use for if I need to go out of town or won't be home for his second feeding...basically I know what my guy eats for feeders during his 2 feedings so if I know I will be working late or something, at his first feeding I just give him double of whatever he normally eats plus a few extra. My staple feeder is Phoenix worms and they stay fine in the tank on the cool side all day in a dish. When I do this he will devour probably half of the worms immediately and then throughout the rest of the day he will pick here and there.

Thats a good idea. When he was real tiny he wasnt a fan of them. He likes big bugs for some reason. Even when he eats hi crickets he always goes for the big ones first then looks at me like I have to eat these smalls ones too. :shock:

I will order some up and try again and see if that works. I travel alot in the summer and my son goes to school so I need to get him use to 2 feedings.

I feed once a week in autumn before brumation. spring and summer, once every day or a few times a week in the summer. rex eats huge grasshoppers, 2 or 3 a day, or 8 to 10 large superworms per feeding.
