So, I took Smauggie to the vet yesterday morning. The nearest reptile vet is about 40 min away, and I had to wait almost a month for a Saturday appointment.
Two hours after my appt. time :x , we finally get in to see the vet. The vet tech had already tried to take a fecal sample, but no luck. So the vet comes in, it's our first time meeting him, and he was nice enough. She weighs 260.5 grams and he said that was good. He says that she's probably around 6 months, give or take a couple weeks. He listened to her heart, checked her out, felt here and there ... What I expected him to do. Said her eyes were clear, her mouth and teeth looked good, muscle and body felt normal. Then he took a fecal swab. (The one morning I needed her to go ...) They tested the sample; all clear. We left. We decided, while we were out, to grab some fast food and take her to PetSmart (I needed some stuff for the cats and fish). She was fine, seemed alert, curious. She did have a little accident in her pouch, but the poor thing had been swabbed earlier, so I figured it was nothing.
Now here's where the problem comes in: we get home and (despite the fact that she hadn't eaten since breakfast) she would not eat. Normally she eats her dubias in the early morn and again in the late afternoon, and she eats her greens at lunchtime. She seemed super tired, but I attributed it to her big outing. So when she started to fall asleep around 4:30 p.m., I just put her on her pillow, covered her with her little blanket, and let her go to sleep.
This morning, I get up and go check on her (I had slept in a little bit) and she was already awake and out of her bed. Not surprised, so I went to get her pillow and blanket out, and I realized that she had pooped on it. She NEVER poops on that; she never even poops on that side of the tank (the cooler side). I cleaned it off as best I could, and threw in the washer, with my fingers crossed. I went to feed her dubias, figuring that she starving after not eating since early yesterday morning ... Again, she won't eat. Not a one. I offered them several times throughout the day ... Nothing. Offered her greens ... Nothing. I managed to force a few pieces of greens (maybe 3, the size of a thumbnail) into her mouth late this eve, and she chewed them, but her mouth has been locked tight since.
I did my usual Sunday routine, including giving her a bath and cleaning her tank. I've given her lots of window time, even took her outside for about 10 min (but it was cloudy today  ).
She just kinda .... Sits wherever you put her. If you put her on her cave, she stays. If you put her in the window, she stays. She's not very active, not her usual self.
She did poop again, but it was weird - yellow and more liquid, and almost like it came out on it's own.
I've double-checked temps, and nothing new there: 85 cool, 103 warm.
Is she just worn out from yesterday? Did the fecal swab maybe hurt her in some way?
It's 8:30 almost here - she's still awake, just sitting next to me.
I don't want to panic, but I'm really worried.
