I ordered 1000 crickets today and they will be here by the morning  I'm excited but also freaking out about them. what am i gonna do with 1000 crickets I'm sure by the time ill need all of them they will grow and be to small for my baby BD. I told my friend who has geckos she could take some. I got a huge cricket container then gonna put it in a tote for escapees

what temp to the crickets need. can i put them in my basement???

They like it warmer, 85-90 will yield fewer die offs, but 70-75 slows their growth a bit. If your basement gets cold, I wouldn't put them down there. Make sure you have lots of egg crate and paper towel rolls and such for them to hide in, and clean out their tub every day to keep them from getting stinky and gross. How big of a container is it? I would say the more space you give them the better.

I have a feeling most will die but my baby eats a ton and im gonna feed her whatever she will eat in 10-15 mins. tonight she chowed down on 12 in a couple of mins then ran up to soak some rays :) and left ONE little dude lonely running around the bottom

they showed up. there was only like 5 dead lol but soooo many of those worms type bugs... OMG! so gross. I picked out most and threw them in toilet. I read bad reviews that a lot came with those worms things. i've been in the bathroom for like an hour putting them in cricket box. i dont think there is 1000 either maybe 600ish but oh well. ill order less next time too.

how many do they eat a day when they are older normally since its only 20% of their diet but they are also way over double what they are now so Im not sure

if those worms were small black fuzzy ones, they are actually good to have. They are used to keep your bins clean by eating dead stuff in the bin. They are also not dangerous to your dragon.

My older dragon completely gave up on eating crickets, he now only eats a couple of supers every other day and some of his salad. He's also in a semi-brumation state where he sleeps for a day or two them comes out for a day or two, and so on ... so his eating is very erratic at the moment.

One here and there probably wont hurt but they do feast on dead things, and you have to be careful that whatever killed its last meal, wont harm your dragon.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
