1 year old grumpy beardie.

My beardie is a little over one. And he has been very grumpy lately. If I try to pick him up he will puff his beard which has never been the case. He has a little cave and he only comes out when he wants food. I've read of a puberty type thing that happens, does this sound like that? Nothing has changed. He still eats and basks and we bathe him. What's with the attitude? Will it go away with time? It makes me sad because we usually take him out and let him run around the house and he loves it. Right now however he doesn't want anyone touching him. He just wants to eat bask, sleep and be grumpy haha.

He's at about the right age for it to be hormonal. Best to give him space if that seems to be what he wants, and just wait it out.
