at 500+ grams he is quite big. As they get closer to full size they are going to shed less often and less often until it becomes an extremely rare occurrence. Is he eating his salads at all?
What is he doing during the day? Lying around and trying to sleep? Or is he moving around and basking and being active?
At 500+ grams you can definitely afford to lay off the superworms and force feeding for awhile.
Keep track of his weight and see if it's staying the same or trending downwards.
