    New to Reptiles

Right, don't trust a word that the store tells you. For now, bath him in warm- NOT hot- water daily. It should help him pass them if he has not already. By the way, all the above is the dietary regimen for a YOUNG bearded dragon. Once your dragon approaches a year, his needs will change...

    New to Reptiles

As for feeding, I advise feeding in a separate cage. Stay away from mealworms, they are impaction nightmares due to their abundant chitin. Dubia roaches- or any kind of feeder roach, some prefer Turkistan Red Runner roaches- are an ideal staple for a young bearded dragon, with crickets being a...

Right. How much do you know about bearded dragons in specific. Could you describe your bearded dragon's setup please?

Need to find a Herp Vet!

Try here: http://www.anapsid.org/vets/ You might want to comb a number of directories, but at least this one is the most recent. I've found others ceased updating years ago.

    Rankins Dragon question

I suggest bribery. Have your brother offer him a treat from time to time. The way to anyone's heart is through their stomach!

    Shedding and Appetite

Trying to figure out how shedding and appetite interact. Arthur came to me in a full body shed, but he was a ravenous little thing. Three weeks later, he's getting ready to shed again, and over the last few days I've noticed a drop in appetite at Dubia Time. Considering I also know he has worms...

can i still play with him?

Viruses are usually extraordinarily specific- I wouldn't worry about it.

My beardie won't eat anything green

At that size, honestly, you should be offering primarily live food. No bigger than the space between her eyes, else you risk an impaction, and only crickets or dubia roaches as a staple for now- see the thread about a rescue beardie for an excellent example of why mealworms are a horrific choice...

    Swallowed small water crystal

Whelp, I know what Arthur's roaches are NOT going to be getting for their water from now on.

10 week old kitten and baby bearded dragon?

You can have both, but neither can have access to the other. Cats are natural predators of lizards, and domestication has not at all dulled their hunting instincts.

    Juicy molted treats- safety concerns

Soft and squishy was why I was wondering. They looked so plump, juicy and soft!

Baby beardie not eating and acting out of sorts

Wax worms? Not a very experienced owner here, but could it be that he is addicted to waxies and has learned you'll give him them if he holds out? How often did he get waxworms prior to this?

    Juicy molted treats- safety concerns

IS it safe to feed big, freshly moulted Dubia to my 3 month old bearded dragon? A number of times, I've been able to catch cockroaches mid-moult and thought they looked like a delicious treat for him. Only problem is, they were over the size limit. Is it safe to feed these freshly moulted soft...

I broke the rules, and it worked.

Well, it's your dragon. At the very least, never leave them together unattended.

Toe "Stretches", Should I Be Worried About MBD?

Sometimes, when Arthur is basking he'll uncurl and stretch out his toes ramrod straight for a second, then return to his basking position. Should I be worried? Waiting on hearing back from all the vets who I'm calling to try and find a reptile specialist or at least an exotics vet with lots of...

how many times a week to feed live food to adult dragon

Care sheet of the long time breeder I got Arthur from. Either way, an adult should not be eating too much live food. You mostly want them to eat salad.

Best online website for buying feeders?

It took a few days, I know that much. Perhaps three to four? I didn't really keep track. First time it arrived earlier than I expected, the refill arrived a little later than I expected.
