I was wondering how Shiro was doing. I haven't seen anything in a while. Life must be busy. Mine is.

    How to prepare squash?

Mine loves butternut squash. I just cut it into small, long, thin pieces. No cooking. It is his favorite squash at the moment. I do the same with any hard squash or veggie.

    Shiro's great adventures

Such a beautiful baby! I followed along on your other thread, but never commented. You will be fine. Babies are a lot of fun. It's also fun to see others expression when they see how much a baby can grow from week to week. Enjoy Shiro!

5 month old beardie not eating as much

I wondered about the temps being too warm too, and a week ago I was changing it up and lowering his basking spot trying to be sure the temps were good. Weigh in today showed a loss of 1 gram. But he seemed to want a few more dubias. 9 this morning and 15 this evening. About 4 or 5 sticks of...

5 month old beardie not eating as much

My five month old baby beardie has started eating less. It has been very warm and sunny here, so I took him outside a couple of times for no more than 30 minutes each day for some real uv. He is still active, and stands at his doors to get out and love to snuggle with me and run around the...

    Dubia Roaches

I order my feeder roaches from there too! Great service and fast shipping. My sister in law has a beardie from the same clutch as mine, and we both order from there, sometimes within days of each other. She has her order shipped to my house as I am home during the day to receive them. They...

    Help heating dubias

Thank you both for the info. It seems we may be looking into heat tape then, which will be interesting since neither the husband or I have any experience with it.

    Help heating dubias

Also, I've been looking a thunder tank heaters, and most say for use on glass only. I have found one that can be used on plastic and it's for hermit crabs. Is that going to be an ok temp?

    Dubia food recipe

I am using up the last of my cricket gut load feed from when I was trying to feed my anole crickets. (turns out he only likes flying insects.). Also, each order of roaches I get comes with some pellets in the bag. Then you can always feed them the same veggies as your beardie.

    Cleaning a dubia bin

Hmmm. The bath tub may work. Thanks for the idea. I'll have to do that before my order comes in this week.

    Cleaning a dubia bin

How does one clean a dubia bin? Do I need to take all the roaches out? If so, what do I do with them while I am cleaning? My bin is in need of a cleaning, and I'm not sure how to do so with the roaches in there. Also, my sister in law and I are considering starting a colony together. Any...

    Adenovirus

I'm curious about the bee pollen as well. I have dry bee pollen that I bought from some bee keepers to add to my own food occasionally, but I'm unsure how to get my beardie to ingest it. I am also interested in what can be done for liver support. My baby has adeno as well.

    Hydrogen peroxide for cleaning?

Hi. I've been looking around and can't find anything about whether or not cleaning my beardies cage with hydrogen peroxide would be good, bad, or just ok. I do know that after a period of time, the extra oxygen atom in it leaves, and just plain water is left. Is there a reason I shouldn't use...
