I just want to say that I have found the best place to order roaches online. Plus free shipping. What??? ABDragons.com is the place to order your feeders. They also have worms. I have placed many orders and I have not had any show up dead and they grow wonderfully. I am so happy that I found them. For example, I just ordered 300 small dubia ( I get small because cheaper and I let them grow ) for 25 dollars.
So anyone that wants to try roaches or need them. Give them a try. You and your beardie will not be disappointed

I wish their ratio for breeders was more like 1:3 or 1:4 instead of 1:2. But honestly $38 for 20 females and 10 males is pretty cheap. Thank you so much for posting that, I may have to use them. I was going to pay upwards of $70 for 10 males and 30 females at a local shop

I order my feeder roaches from there too! Great service and fast shipping. My sister in law has a beardie from the same clutch as mine, and we both order from there, sometimes within days of each other. She has her order shipped to my house as I am home during the day to receive them. They accidentally sent only one order once, and after contacting them, they shipped the other out right away. We just shared until they got here.

I found a person on Ebay that ships dubia roaches. I ordered 200 small-medium (order was more towards the medium side than small) for $12, +6.85 for expedited shipping (which I later found to include a heating pack at no extra charge). I placed the order on 12/7 and they were supposed to be there on 12/12, but they actually arrived on 12/10. Unfortunately I did not keep an eye on my tracking number and it was pretty cold outside and they sat in my mailbox for probably 36 hours in 30 to 45 degree temps. I was a bit frustrated, worried they had all died (crickets would have), but when I opened the box there were two little plastic containers filled with oats and 3 carrot slices each. When I picked them up to dump into my feeder bin I saw something wrapped in a paper towel and it was a heating pad. When I dumped them into the bin it appeared 100% of the roaches were still alive. Tomorrow or the day after may be a different story, but if there were issues it was on my side for not watching the tracking.

Sorry, I know you probably said this somewhere before, but why are orange heads better?

They breed faster and have more mass than dubias. You have to feed less because they are plump. They actually are a pretty roach...that helps with the creep factor.

People say they have a defensive odor. Don't worry too much about that...they don't stink. Very rarely will you get a faint oder in the bin when you take care of feeding . Barely noticeable...
