    Alarm Clock

No sleeping in ever again, I guess. Although, 5:45 is a pretty awful time to be waking up on the weekends... But if my Queen demands it, so it shall be.

    Alarm Clock

Usually on weekends I get up later than I would during the week, because I'm still in school. And sometimes Rhae (my dragon) will wake me up by scratching loudly at her tiles. Is this anything other than a way to get her lazy human to feed her breakfast? If I change positions or whisper her name...

    New to beardies

Often times the kits don't have the appropriate lighting, so a good way to find out what your dragon needs will be to go to the Care Sheets and Articles page and look at the Newbies Guides. You've got yourself a cute little baby, and I can see that you'll take good care of them.

For the qualified herp vet, there's a site called herpvetconnection.com that'll list all the herp vets in your state so you can find the closest. Good luck!

I need help with mouth rot !!

This is Rhaegal! I've been reading around some of the related topics, and it sounds like unpasteurized honey is good for preventing infections, but I've got nothing else... hopefully others will be able to help more.

Bearded dragon outside for the first time

As long as he's not eating things that have been treated with a fertilizer or bugs that could be toxic, like lightning bugs, I'm not sure you have much else to worry about.

    Hello from Wv

Welcome! He looks like quite the happy dragon, with lots of room to grow. I'm sure he's glad you gave him a new home, especially one with such a great setup.

    Meet the Gang!

That must've been an experience finding out you got babies, but they're so cute! Love the pictures. Welcome to the forum.

Dragon flipping onto back constantly, lethargic

God this is awful, some people can be so stupidly stubborn. I really hope you can get poor Steve to recover. You should try going to the principal or raising money, though I'm not sure how effective the second one would be. Also, to get parents involved would have more of an influence on Stupid...

Help! My beardies back is broken!

That's sad, but it was the best decision if he was suffering. I'm sorry for your loss, I wish you guys the best.

    New Beardie member

Welcome! They are addicting, aren't they. Glad you found out that MJ was a boy before you got too used to referring to him as a girl, that could be a bit awkward. Again, welcome to the forum, hope your little boy stays nice and healthy.

    Just a Question

Bugs around our house will learn to fear her, I'm sure. Guess it's just like a special snack for her, I bet my brother will feel a lot safer with her around. (He's afraid of bugs) She'll just eat anything that moves funny or buzzes and he'll be fine. Thanks for the quick reply, by the way.

    Just a Question

Uh... She did it again. This time she ate a bee. That's not gonna do anything, right? I mean, it was dead pretty much as soon as she got it, but that's a little more concerning than a beetle. Our cricket order's coming later because it's a holiday weekend, but she gets plenty of crickets. I...

    Everyone Else Has One

Yeah, I hadn't really Beardie-proofed the area yet, but when she gets bigger she'll be allowed to roam around more. Maybe even become friends with the dog, who hates squirrels and rabbits but hasn't known what to do when Rhae crawls by.

    Everyone Else Has One

So why not? LET'S WRITE STUFF! Yay! Rhae is a goober. A week or so after I first brought her home, she was in my lap when she made a mad sprint across the room... And under a dresser, where she promptly wedged herself in the corner, just out of reach. Crickets would not tempt her out, so I...

    Hello everyone

Depending on the age of the beardie, the substrate varies, as well as the size tank you need. The younger dragons shouldn't have sand, because if they are fed in the tank, eating the sand could cause impaction. Anything more specific can be found under care sheets and articles. I'm sure you'll...

    Hello from New Beardie Owner!

All awesome names in their own ways, but it's hard to decide until something really clicks. Watch for some of those special quirky personality traits, that might help. With 60 gallons, that is gonna be one happy baby. Good luck to all three of you!

    Just a Question

Definitely not a lightning bug, just a black beetle. I'm on the East Coast, Maryland. I did a little paranoid research, so it's fancy name is pterostichus melanarius. Obviously this shouldn't be a big problem, but... eh. I have issues. Don't worry about it.

    Just a Question

So I was giving my baby Rhae some outside time today because it's nice and sunny out, and all of the sudden she leaps out of my lap and snatches up some poor random beetle. It was just a black beetle, she ate it pretty fast, but will this have an impact on her digestion? Am I just overthinking...
