Great Black Soldier Fly Larvae vendor!

Huh, I ordered medium but the holes weren't big enough for them to come out. Probably depends on who is doing the poking. The holes were definitely a bit bigger than they needed to be, and some substrate did spill out, so that's one thing they could improve on, but nothing to make me stop...

Great Black Soldier Fly Larvae vendor!

I don't think I've seen this company mentioned before, but I found them over the holiday's since no one else was shipping until January 4th, and my Beardie was eating too many worms. Luckily they were shipping as of the 28th of December. To top it off they were offering 20% off at the time...

    ReptiWorms Vendor - Warning

I also had less than satisfactory product from Reptiworms. This last time was the final straw, my order was more than half DOA, like yours and the ones that were alive didn't look good (not active at all). I complained about this to them, and got no response. So I started a chargeback to them...

Dying beardie, don't think he's going to make it...

Thanks. I'm still glad I took him in and at least had tests done and at least know what likely killed him. I'm just wondering if it was the Coccidia that led to the kidney issues. I was always sure to bathe him several times a week, and his urate never looked like he was dehydrated. Wishing I...

Dying beardie, don't think he's going to make it...

He's urate has been mostly white, sometimes some of it was yellow. They did a blood test and uric acid was high, but she said that may of been because of him starving himself. Unfortunately I think he just passed. Really sucks. Unfortunately I don't think I'll be getting another dragon, there...

Dying beardie, don't think he's going to make it...

My original thread is here: viewtopic.php?f=45&t=220095&p=1710129#p1710129 Since then I've taken him to the vet and after feeding him through a syringe I was able to get enough of a fecal sample that they found Coccidia and prescribed him Ponazuril for 28 days. I gave him his first dose...

    Stopped eating, urates often.

Okay, thanks for confirming. :) He's definitely acting weird. In the two years I've had him, he did something he's NEVER done before, which is drink from his bath water. It started as he was just sticking out his tongue to get a little bit of water from his nose, then after I dropped more on...

    Stopped eating, urates often.

Here's a few shots of him and his environment. I did forget that I did the "tail check" about a year ago, and although the two bumps aren't prominent, I think it shows he's a male. Also it's not that he isn't pooping, he isn't eating either, so it's understandable that there isn't anything for...

    Stopped eating, urates often.

One thing I can do is give him more Reptaid (it's been about a month), and make a salad smoothie for him and feed it with a syringe, but I'm not sure if it's a good idea to force feed him like that?

    Stopped eating, urates often.

Anyone have any more thoughts? He's moved his bowels another couple of times today too. Really odd between the not eating and constantly going to the bathroom thing.

    Stopped eating, urates often.

He's on slate tile, I don't think he has any impaction, because he does still poop, but it's not more than once a week, at the most, since he never really eats anything. I don't let him roam free unless supervised (two cats). I'm only thinking he is male because of those big bumps on the bottom...

    Stopped eating, urates often.

It's only been two hours since I've been home and he's already urated twice since I've been home. First one was just a little bit of white urate, and the second one was mostly just clear fluid. Man, I don't know what is going on. I tried to push him to eat, and he kind of opened his mouth a...

    Stopped eating, urates often.

My dragon, Ragnar, is about two years old. About a couple months ago, he seemed kind of lethargic (didn't seem like brumation, which he went through last winter), and didn't eat much, in fact he wasn't really eating his veggies at all, and barely would eat Phoenix Worms, but he would eat...

Ouch, I think he's trying to tell me something?

It does, thanks! I did find it pretty hilarious that he did it. They weren't actually on the greens, just next to it, it's a big dish, more of a tray. I kind of figured him sleeping like that was normal, it just kind of startled me since it's the first I've seen him like that. The only other...

Ouch, I think he's trying to tell me something?

Came home today and found that Ragnar (4 mo old) took a dump in his greens bowl! I guess he really doesn't like greens. Hopefully he doesn't keep doing this. Oh, and man, he gave me a scare this morning. I turned on the light because the timer didn't turn it on when I wanted it to, and saw him...

    Too close to basking lamp?

Gotcha, thanks. I was actually just searching the forum a bit, and read basically the same thing, so that's good to hear. I just wish he would eat more. At best he is eating maybe 20-30 small crickets or reptiworms a day.

    Too close to basking lamp?

Okay, thanks. One other thing I noticed is that his body coloring is really pale right now, but all of his extremities are much brighter. It doesn't really fade either, basically as soon as it reaches his head/legs/tail it just changes from pale to darker coloring.

    Too close to basking lamp?

So I came in and saw my dragon had climbed up his fake rock background and was sitting literally about 3 inches away from the bulb with his mouth wide open. I double checked his basking spot where he normally sits, and it was exactly 105 degrees. What's the deal? Do they just sometimes like some...

New owner question: Is this decoration safe for my dragon?

Yep, it's a male. These are his parents, and he is supposed to look like his dad when he is older. Male Female

New owner question: Is this decoration safe for my dragon?

Nope, he is nameless so far. I just got him this morning. He has settled in okay so far. He is pretty skittish, and still getting adjusted obviously. I was able to give him a brief bath (after about 5 minutes he wanted out though), and he pooped afterwards. He hasn't touched his greens, but I...
