Came home today and found that Ragnar (4 mo old) took a dump in his greens bowl! I guess he really doesn't like greens. Hopefully he doesn't keep doing this.

Oh, and man, he gave me a scare this morning. I turned on the light because the timer didn't turn it on when I wanted it to, and saw him completely sprawled out on the floor and his head on the ground with his eyes open. I really thought he was dead for a second. Then of course he slowly picked his head up and eventually stood up. I'm guessing he is fine and that's just how they sleep, but for some reason I was thinking they slept without completely relaxing all their limbs.

Sometimes they poo in their food dishes. It's normal :) It doesn't have anything to do with him protesting his greens! Both my dragons have done that every now and again.

As far as the sleeping is concerned they can be completely relaxed and sprawled out. Some dragons kind of curl up in a ball and snuggle to sleep. It depends on the dragon!

I hope that helps :D

It does, thanks! I did find it pretty hilarious that he did it. They weren't actually on the greens, just next to it, it's a big dish, more of a tray.

I kind of figured him sleeping like that was normal, it just kind of startled me since it's the first I've seen him like that. The only other time I came and turned on the light, he was laying sort of stood up face against the glass, but he wasn't in a deep sleep or anything at the time.

Harley will sometimes sprawl out with all 4 limbs straightened out and her head pretty well planted on the bed under a pillow completely passed out that I let her sit on sometimes while I watch tv in bed. Other times she will curl up and other times she lays perfectly straight on my chest with all 4 legs pulled in and face planted down in her blanket. They sleep weird sometimes.

Tonight I found my 1 1/2 yr old female Sappho standing on her hammock, pressed against the corner of her tank. Most of the time, she will fall asleep on my chest with a blanket covered over her. They sure are cute!

They will sometimes poop in their food bowls and as far as the sleeping thing bearded dragons LOVE to sleep all sprawled out like they are dead they just like to sleep fully relaxed one of mine even slept on a log with half of her body hanging off so don't worry they are just weird sleepers :)

Haha my beardie is always in some kind of funky position when I go turn on his lights in the morning always makes me laugh...

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
