So just an update Rex just started eating some food 3 days ago.. So guessing semi-brumation at a young age? he still doesn't bask all day like he used to, and still taking naps.. Never hides under anything just chills mainly on his hammock... He has not shed or grown in over the past 2 months is...

It's very odd because he is like 6-7 months old... Now sometimes I catch him taking naps, sent the vet a stool sample couples months ago and said everything was normal... And for 2 days now he barely basks getting freaked out

What I did is pick a finger that is the same width of a adult male, and then place your finger in between and centered on his head... Also you might wanna clip off the wings

I would hold off on feeding the adult males for another 2 months and that still depends on how fast your beardie grows...And yes you are correct the width! I was in the same boat to many males and BD wasn't big enough to eat them, Once your BD starts eating the 7/8 and bigger than you can start...

So, Rex has been growing like a weed he is 16+ inches.. Now as of the last week he has been eating less and been going to bed an hour early.. I noticed he hasn't done his shed this month and he also ate 3 dermestids when I fed him by accident is this the cause? Or just a part of him getting...

6-12 small a day? how old and big is your dragon? And yes he should be eating around 2-4 dozen a day...I would drop them into a 10 gallon tank if you got one, make sure once you do that get rid of all the dead and toss out the food that came with it...It's gonna be a mess once you open the box...

I gotta ask why you only got 8 female and 3 male for breeding for 2 Bearded dragons, you need at least 60-80 females and around 20-30 males and 3-4 months before even feeding them... If you are gonna stay with trying to breed the dubia I highly recommend getting a lot more adults plus another...

^Indeed, I agree your BD looks very young just by looking at the head and neck I say 2-3 months old This is not the best photo but it is the first when I got Rex @ 2 months, and when looking at an older BD you can see the difference

Well I did a rock last week with the family after the grout I used minwax poly and then mod podge...I put Rex on it today and lets just say it was like a slide, Should I sprinkle it with some sand and re spray it or take some sand paper to it?

I do not know the answer to that, but i'm sure he or she could cut them self if trying to get out might try and fit through the spaces or climb up and escape so you might wanna think about the possibilities first...These are just my thoughts tho IMO go glass or aluminum screening

That would depend where and what you are using it on... If anything that is around water or needs to be cleaned then no it will rust... Is this just for your doors? if so it should be fine but just remember the holes are probably gonna be big and your feeders will get out

for one depends how old and big your BD is, mine just went through over 500 @3/4" in 11 days and he is 5 months old...So in less you got money to burn, I would start breeding them...And remember the small the food the more he or she will eat

He probably just doesn't want to eat veggies, mine is almost 5 months old and the only veggies he will eat is collard and butternut but only a little...Try some crickets or dubia
