Sleepy 6 month old?

So, Rex has been growing like a weed he is 16+ inches.. Now as of the last week he has been eating less and been going to bed an hour early.. I noticed he hasn't done his shed this month and he also ate 3 dermestids when I fed him by accident is this the cause? Or just a part of him getting older, or maybe all this rainy weather? Other than that he is alert and looks healthy

I'm guessing the dermestids were insect-cleaner ones? I don't think any of the species carry toxins, if that helps.

By the sounds of him, he's probably just thinking it's winter and is winding down for a sleep.
I think it's awfully cute when beardies take themselves to bed - Tsam does it every evening of his own accord, bless him.

It's very odd because he is like 6-7 months old... Now sometimes I catch him taking naps, sent the vet a stool sample couples months ago and said everything was normal... And for 2 days now he barely basks getting freaked out

Well, he's a good body length - nearly mature, by the sounds of it. What's his weight like?

Dragons will avoid the heat when it is time to sleep. He'll try to tuck into the coldest, darkest corner he can.

So long as he's not looking miserable, and he's not losing weight, you're alright.

So just an update Rex just started eating some food 3 days ago.. So guessing semi-brumation at a young age? he still doesn't bask all day like he used to, and still taking naps.. Never hides under anything just chills mainly on his hammock... He has not shed or grown in over the past 2 months is this all normal?, he is still very friendly and eyes look healthy, just worried
