Yeah don't leave crickets in his tank. They can bit him in his sleep and cause nasty injuries and stress! Dunno about the cubes... I wouldn't leave them in there. I have a separate feeding tank for ryuu.. the only food I leave in his tank is greens.

I used a household lamp when mine blew, better than nothing!

Hey Guys, I've been a member of this site for a while, but I just thought I'd introduce you all to Ryuu! We got him last December, so he's 5 or 6 months old now, and he's a big boy! Growing so fast! And he's a feisty one too...

Hey guys, I bought a cricket.tower with 400 crickets in it 2 days ago, and when i was feeding Ryuu tonight I noticed that there were some REALLY small white worms in there... I have heard that these can be fruit fly larvae... Are they dangerous to my beardie? Can he get sick from them?

Hahaha yeah sorry, in Australia we call them capsicum... hahaha. He didn't have any red in the urates today, I'll keep an eye on it for the rest of the week, and if theres still non them I'm guessing thats what it was... Feeling pretty silly right now. I was just like "OH MY GOD! BLOOD!" hahaha

He is most definately male. Capsicum is the only red thing he eats :( Could this be a sign of parasites or anything?

Yeah all of his veggies are always cut up small... But he did have some capsicum... But hes had that before and this has never happened... Can this be a sign of anything serious? I have only.heard of this in eggbound females!!

My 6 month old male beardie had some pink in his urate thismorning... Just wondering what it could be? He seems healthy and has been eating like a horse as usual... He is not dehydrated as far as i know (he gets a bath every 2nd day and has been eating greens and crickets) Could it be over...

Has anyone has experience with the Reptile One Daylight 150w basking lamps? Are they any good? I have a red heat lamp at the moment but people have suggested that the red ones are no good...

Yeah it's an Australian brand... Funny, we get next to no good reptile lights/lamps here yet it's an Australian reptile. Go figure. I have heard the reptisun is good. I will buy one from amazon. Any good heat lamps you would recommend as I am looking to replace that too..

We have a Reptile One brand 10.0uvb tube.... Its about 5 months old.. Should it be replaced?
