Clicking noise when chewing?

Hey guys,
Probably just being paranoid as I'm a first time beardie owner, but Ryuu has been making a wierd clicking noise when he chews. I noticed it yesterday when I fed him his crickets... It doesn't sound respiratory to me, and he only does it when he chews. Its almost like a really faint clicking sound (only about as loud as the sound of crunching crickets)
His diet consists of celery, celery greens, bok choy, pak choy, beans, capsicum, and as a treat sometimes carrot, grapes or strawberry.
His temps and humidity are all fine. Hes about 5 months old, 37cm and just finished shedding. He gets calcium dusted crickets for one of his feedings every day, and I dont dust his evening feed. Any ideas? Could it be an infection of some kind? Or am I being paranoid....

What kind of UVB light are you using? Clicking can be an early sign of MBD, where his jaw bone is weakening. I'm not saying it IS, just something that we would want to rule out by finding out about your UVB light.

We have a Reptile One brand 10.0uvb tube.... Its about 5 months old.. Should it be replaced?

I honestly know nothing about that brand - it seems to be an Australian thing only? If you can find a ReptiSun 10.0 or an Arcadia 12%, those are definitely the best. Either way, 5 months is towards the end of the useful life, so yes, it is time to replace it.

Yeah it's an Australian brand... Funny, we get next to no good reptile lights/lamps here yet it's an Australian reptile. Go figure. I have heard the reptisun is good. I will buy one from amazon. Any good heat lamps you would recommend as I am looking to replace that too..

For heat lamps, literally all you need is a normal, clear household lightbulb. Just find the wattage that gets you to the right temps.
