Best breeder to buy from online?

Yeah don't believe the hype - save your $$$ and go elsewhere. She has not developed anything, she bought her lines. I have seen more negative posts abt her than positive.

Best breeder to buy from online?

Depends on what you want, many different morphs and bloodlines and certain breeders are known for certain things. That being said if you just want a dragon above the pet store level there are plenty to choose from indeed. Some of the names that come to mind when thinking of best breeders...

    Dubia starting question

email [email protected] from the for sale section about some dubia's, you can get like 2k small for around 80 from him & free shipping. That 2k will grow nicely over 2 months and you will have a solid foundation colony. I have bought from him in the past and sent a few friends to him and all...

What do I do with excess Dubia?

logical approach.... buy another bin, a heating source, some egg crates, and dump the excess adults in there. Start another colony, if you just add to it and dont feed off it then sooner or later you split the new colony into 2, and then 3, and 4, etc... and THEN you have enough to sell. Dont...

    Adult dubia STILL not breeding.

a watched pot will not boil.... just forget about them for a month, only go into the bin to feed them. With that few of dubias you dont want to use that startup colony to feed fro , so just let it go for a while and keep them fed with oranges, it will happen.

    Help with breeding

If you know so much then wtf are you doing asking us questions... please teach us something instead! Just because a female can breed does not mean their body can recover from the drain of producing that many eggs. Where do you think the calcium comes from to create the eggs and the nutrients...

    Trying to establish dubia colony

You could run the pad on just he breeders but i like to keep them on all, because the room they are in is a storage room in my basement which stays very cool low 60's all yr round. So have to keep the heat/humidity up to get full molting and growth. yes, i clean/sift my bins every quarter. I...

    Trying to establish dubia colony

The sunbeam heat pad set @ 6 and left on 24/7 and completely under one end of a (1/2) container keeps the temp in my bins @ 88-93, which is perfect. I run those heat pads under 3 colonies with no issue in 2 yrs. Granted with those if the power goes out you have to go down and turn them on and up...

    Introducing a new bearded dragon

i agree your female is undersized, may want to feed her more. You put that 2 week dragon in with he girl who is most likely severally hungry she would eat him I suspect. Cohabbing is doable only when they are same size/age and not sexually mature, and then they will establish a...

what brand of food for the crickets???

well i gave my suggestion on feeding the crickets, but if you have already made you mind up then why ask the question in the 1st place? You can nickel and dime yourself to death and most ppl do when they think they need to buy the big label food, thus complaining about the cost of feeder's...

    Looking to expand..

well there are many locales of uri's and many breeders, but Lindsay is the man when it comes to this species. They are pretty chilled much like the dragon regards to smart and good with people. Husbandry is pretty simple they are veggie munchers etc... plenty of info on google on them. sorry...

    Looking to expand..

ez - go with a leo gecko or some other gecko if you want to stay in that size tank. If me I would go with a Uromastyx though but a 30 gal tank would not last them their life time. Lindey Pike has some awesome uri's http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/forums/showthread.php?t=334519

How much cash did you drop in Year 1?

do not buy a heat pad - thats bad idea get a che (ceramic heat emitter) or infrared IF you need it. They are fine as long as the temperatures doe not drop below 60 at night. Enclosure - cheaper to build your own, you can get 2x4 panels of melamine from home depot cheaply, and a ceramic light...

what brand of food for the crickets???

look up cricket crack... feeding/water crickets your wasting money buying those brands. cricket crack and water crystal combo = all they need. You can buy enough water crystals for 1/2 the cost of the flukers to make 2 gallons of crystals. And for calcium/viatamins look into repashy calcium...

what age do they stop freaking out?

They are spry/fast little things and they do mellow with age. She is kind of small @ 3months imo though. Best way to get them to like you... hand feed them. they associate you with food they like food so they will like you. Some people may think this mean of me but it works.... feed them enough...

    Dubia issues

just a tip.... with that few of dubias, use a small container that will just hold 1/2 a egg crate and provider a small area for food. I would just feed them oranges, no water or anything else. They will get their hydration from the oranges and something about oranges get dubias breeding nicely...
