This is what I do. The dome I have has 2 bulbs in it..one is the basking bulb and one is a compact fluorescent. I added the compact for brightness and it didn't raise the temp at all for me.

I think if it is only for a few days, just the pellets would be ok. I know a lot of people who have dragons that have pellets as their staple and get crickets and live feeders only as treats. I don't agree with doing this, however if it is just for a few days I think it is ok.

The issue with switching his schedule around is if he eats crickets first, he might not eat salad at all. The only time mine will eat salad is if he is hungry and after he eats his feeders, he isn't hungry anymore.

Are you sure they aren't just baby mealworms? I tried looking for them and that is all I am finding is baby mealworms.

They were probably just referring to supers or other hard bodied worms. When it comes to soft bodies worms, just use common sense and don't feed anything that is too big for your beardie to swallow and you should be fine. For babies, phoenix worms are great.
