Age limit on feeding worms?

So, when I got my beardy about a little over a month ago, the person who sold us the first set of crix said I couldn't feed my beardy worms of any sort untill she was bigger. She's about 6-8 inches now (I have no idea agewise, so if anyone could tell me around how old she is just on size, that's greatly apreciated too) and I have no idea if that lady was a good person to trust (She seemed like the only person who didn't have any idea what she was doing at the store I went to) so, point being, was she telling the truth about not being able to feed my little girl worms untill she's older, and if she was right, what age/size can I start feeding her worms? Thanks!

I got Zeus when he was about 6 weeks old. I got him to eat worms almost from the beginning but they were extra small. He loves them and now he is eating the small size. I tried the medium size but he wouldn't eat them. I don't know if it's because they were froma different supplier, maybe. I've gone back to reptiworms.

I have a 7" baby that loved butterworms the first 2 days. They say that as long as it is a soft bodied worm it is ok to feed them to babies. I have baby silkworms that can be feed everyday, Reptiworms that I can feed everyday, and butterworms that are higher in fat so sould be feed every now and then. You can also feed them baby horn worms but be prepared because thouse things grow crazy fast.

Thank you for mentioning some worms there too. Wasn't sure on that either. Thanks for the help!

They were probably just referring to supers or other hard bodied worms. When it comes to soft bodies worms, just use common sense and don't feed anything that is too big for your beardie to swallow and you should be fine.

For babies, phoenix worms are great.

Actually, butters aren't fatty, in fact, they're probably one of the healthiest foods to give to your beardie. (The fatty idea is a misconception) The thing you have to watch out for is the amount of calcium. From what I've seen, natural calcium found in butterworms are more easily absorbed then the powder. (Which is why I use them as my beardie's feeder/calcium supplement)

Well thats good to know since my beardies love them! Hmm I wonder if reptiworms, butterworms and collards will be to much calcium?

I think probably it was hard worms! Nothing larger than the space between their eyes is what I have always heard. But I think the horns and silks were the exception??? cuz of the liquid and softness in them? Because those things get HUGE!!!! and I have seen my adult eat them down HUGE!!!!!!!!! I know with supers they say no till 15 inches but they sell micro supers but you still want to watch and take it slow!

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
