I am just wondering how much of a live feeder is safe for adults to eat without them having too much. All I read about is babies and the 2 to 3 times a day for 15 minutes thing. I am guessing that with adults, you don't give them an all you can eat thing and you can limit their food? The feeders I am interested in are:

Discoid roaches
Hornworms
Butterworms
Phoenix Worms

Basically I am curious if I will be able to afford another baby after my current one is an adult. On his current diet, I definitely could not.

livefood 1 day, salad the next, none the other day but try him/her with salad and a roach/locust but more than likely wont eat on the 3rd day but still offer it but if not you know not to offer on the 3rd day, thats how my adult works but my adult male n 12 month old female have just started brumation (freezing in scotland right now)

How much livefood though? Like right now my beardie eats 80 to 100 phoenix worms a day. Does this mean that when he is grown, I should expect him to eat 80 to 100 phoenix worms 2 to 3 times a week?

I know that I will be offering salad daily whether he eats it or not.

phoenix worms as a staple? start a dubia roach colony dont think phoenix's as a life long staple is much good, too much calcium in them wen ur beardie becomes an adult and they are small. get ur own dubia roach colony on the go it will save you money instead of buying the worms

My 17 month old male eats about 10 supers a week and 10 butterworms.. and offered greens everyday, and sometimes he goes 4 days without wanting feeders. I offer my adult female 5 supers a day 5x a week, she won't eat anything else yet.. but she also eats her greens everyday..

So, as an adult you will probably go through 20 - 30 supers a week... If you use phoenix worms I would say about 100 or more a week since they are so small.. Butterworms expect about 25 - 30 a week.. every beardie is different. Some are just bigger eaters than others, so it's hard not knowing your beardies eating habits. However, my other adult male used to pound his food from 5 - 10 months old.. at 10 months he cut down to half of what he normally ate, and now at over a year old.. he only eats live feeders twice a week.. (once again, his choice) but he's in brumation right now, so he's super cheap to feed

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
