Update on Toothless (Orange Hypo baby)

Thanks =) He is from West Coast Dragons, in Canada BC. They breed some amazingly nice (and healthy) dragons, I love this guy. I had bought a female from the same clutch (she looked exactly like him) but I sold her to my neighbor/friend who REALLY wanted one. This guy is a real character though ;)

    Fred's 3 week outdoor adventure!

 3 weeks ago I was cleaning Fred's cage and he was hanging out on the couch while I was busy, I left the room for a while to go scrub some of his things in the bathroom, when I came back he was gone, and I realized the sliding glass door was open about 3 inches! I immediately shut the...

Cant get basking area hot enough :(

My one juvenile beardie is in a 20 gallon long tank, I have a digital thermometer with a probe at the basking spot, and I have a digital reptile thermometer that sticks onto the glass and that is right beside her basking spot, about 1-2" from where she sits. I placed her basking lamp right...

Pooped or threw up whole crickets?

One of my 8 week old babies just pooped out a LOT of crickets, unless it was vomit? I didnt see her do it, its a big lump of basically ALL mashed up crickets, no pee or visible stool. She didnt have a very good appetite yesterday and ignored her crickets, but the day before she had eaten a TON...

Few updated pics of the new babies :)

Yes the breeder always says that the pictures dont do them justice, so true. Plus these guys seem to get a lot brighter when they are out of their cage and in natural light, and especially after bath time, that's why I took the pictures right after they had a bath :) If I get any other dragons...

Few updated pics of the new babies :)

Thanks everyone! I bought them from a well known dragon breeder in Canada, "West Coast Dragons" They are "Orange Hypos" the pictures he originally sent me didnt even do them justice, they looked pretty but they are amazing in person. Their colors seem to brighten when I take them out of their...

Few updated pics of the new babies :)

Well they are almost 8 weeks old, they shed some skin and I finally gave them a bath, I think they were very dusty and dirty from the breeders since he keeps them on playsand, because after the bath their colors are stunning! They are very healthy and eating good so I am happy! We named the male...

Zilla Desert 50 UVB Fluorescent Bulb?

Well since I cant get the repti-sun and I am raising 2 juvenile beardies with repti-glo 10.0 I guess I'll let you know how it goes down the road.. Another thing, I did a lot of googling around to try find some actual reports of beardies suffering from MBD or other ailments due to the use of...

Zilla Desert 50 UVB Fluorescent Bulb?

Thanks. I guess I'll just stick to the Repti-Glo bulbs for both my beardies.. I certainly cannot afford over $100 for ordering 2 Repti-sun bulbs online. Apparently Petsmart used to carry Repti-sun then they quit carrying it :( But I know three people (my sister and two co-workers) who have been...

Zilla Desert 50 UVB Fluorescent Bulb?

I am in Canada and I cannot find ANYONE that carries Repti-sun. I tried ordering online but for 2 bulbs with shipping and fees it would cost over $115! Right now I have Repti-Glo 10.0, which is ALL the pet stores around here carry, accept I found one store that carries Zilla Desert 50 UVB...

Brand new Beardies on the way

Thanks for the advice. I only have one large tank set up for them, but I have an extra 20 gallon tank, do you think that would be ok for very short-term for a juvenile dragon until I get a second big tank? I believe the breeder said the beardies are 6" in length. Also what size crickets would I...

Brand new Beardies on the way

I'm picking up my new Bearded dragons at the airport on Thursday morning, I bought them from a reputable breeder in my area. They have a short 30 min flight over here from the island. They are Orange Hypos, a probed male and female. He has marked their tails with an x to show they are sold, and...

    New dragon questions

He has a 150 watt basking lamp and his basking area is 100 degrees (I have a reptile digital thermometer/hygrometer on his basking log) I have only had...

    New dragon questions

I recently adopted my dragon from a very good home where he was well cared for, the people said he is eating 50-75% greens along with crickets and superworms, but Since I got him home he is hardly ever hungry, I make him fresh green salad every day, using different greens like curly endive, beet...

    Enclosure

I am ok with using paper towel and now that I have 2 large slate tiles in there as well, it covers a pretty good section of the enclosure floor and Fred tends to always poop on the tiles which are easy to clean off :-)

    Enclosure

Hi, I got the log decoration from Petsmart, in the fish/aquatic area section.. it was made for fish tanks but Fred loves the log, and he is a large beardie over 2' long and he fits very comfortably on it :)

    Enclosure

I just use paper towel to line the cage and have recently added 2 slate tiles that Fred likes to bask on, he also has one of those waterfall things in his cage with running water, he seems to like hanging out on it.
