    Cicadas

Has anybody actually fed their dragons a cicada? I was thinking about grabbing a couple white freshly molted ones before their exoskeleton hardens. Then I'm guessing if they had any contact with pesticides under the ground then that would be left behind with their shed? I don't think the...

    Cicadas

As some of you on the east coast know the 17 year brood cicadas are starting to emerge. And they will be everywhere! I was wondering if they would be ok to feed a bearded dragon.

    Need some help with lighting.

It is best if you mount it inside of your tank. The screens can filter out over 50% of the UVB, which is no good. You might want to cut a few holes in the metal screen and use some craft wire to hang it in place. Ideally you will want your dragon within 6-8 inches of the UVB tube.

    Need some help with lighting.

Reptisun 10.0 tube is a what a lot of people on here use and recommend. You will need a T8 light fixture to fit it. Other users also use the arcadia tube bulbs, which fit a T5 fixture.

    Beardie Dragon Nails

Slate tile keeps my guys nails filed down nicely. I've tried trimming their nails but I get nervous and prefer not to do it, so I settled on tiles. And if he poos on it a little chlorohexidine/water solution and a toothbrush scrubbing clean it up just fine.

    My Dragon - Moog

I lost her a few weeks ago to kidney & liver failure. I was looking back on some pictures I took of her, I took a lot. I even took some slo-mo videos of her eating some bugs on my gopro camera. I might put them on youtube if anyone is interested. I sure do miss the little girl, she was 3...

    Beardie Dragon Nails

Easiest way to keep the nails down are to put slate tile in your tank, or some natural rocks.

Sick Dragon, diarrhea, vomit, not eating HELP!

The vet called today with the results of her blood test, and there wasn't anything that I could do. She had multiple organ failure, kidney and liver. All of her numbers where off the charts, way above the normal healthy values. It was terminal. I feel a little better knowing that there...

Sick Dragon, diarrhea, vomit, not eating HELP!

Thanks, it makes me feel better to have some fellow dragon owners who know the feeling. I will let you see the blood results when they come in. I am mad at myself for medicating her until I saw the results. I just wanted to make her feel better. The vet made me feel comfortable with giving...

    female wont eat at all

Drip a little bit on the tip of her nose to see if she will lick it off, sometimes they will just keep licking. If she refuses you can pull her mouth open a little bit and put the syringe in the side. Just squeeze a little bit in, a little bit at a time, don't just shoot it down her throat.

Sick Dragon, diarrhea, vomit, not eating HELP!

The two doses I put in her were staggered about 2.5-3 hours. Both with a few drops baby food squash fed in a different syringe. It was all I could get her to eat. She was very weak I was worried before I dosed her, I hope I didn't rush it. I feel like crap. This came out of nowhere. I did...

    female wont eat at all

Sorry to hear your beardie isn't doing well. There are a couple things I noticed. You may want to try and bump your temps up 5 or 10 degrees. This is a good guide of what to feed your beardie. http://www.beautifuldragons.com/Nutrition.html Cucumber should only be fed occasionally, maybe...

Sorry to hear that your beardie is having similar issues. Hopefully you can get her back on track, I would get her to the vet ASAP. Just got back from the vet, fecal results should be in tomorrow. Blood work later in the week. She has lost a lot of weight since her last visit, around 90...

Also the roaches that I feed them are separated for about a week and they eat the leftover pellets that the dragons don't eat.

Sick Dragon, diarrhea, vomit, not eating HELP!

Thank you for the responses. Since I got her almost 3 years ago she has been eating the rep-cal adult bearded dragon pellets, when she was younger it was the smaller juvenile size pellets. Her stool is usually greenish, as is her brothers. It turned orange about 2 weeks ago, but she wasn't...

Sick Dragon, diarrhea, vomit, not eating HELP!

HELP! I have no idea what is going on. My 3-year-old female bearded dragon lost her appetite and hasn’t eaten this week, and didn’t eat much the previous week. I offered her everything daily and she just closed her eyes and ignored it. Collared greens, kale, mustard greens, butternut squash...

How to get stool sample when he won't poo!?

Fill up a container of warm water up to his elbows, and maybe give him a rock or something to hold on to. Let him sit in the warm water for a little while, maybe rub his belly gently. It always works with mine.

    Pinworm Treatment..need help

I did buy a scale when they were younger, but it was one of those weird kitchen ones and I didn't really like how it worked and returned it. A scale would be useful in situations like this. I ended up scheduling an appointment for Friday. I do appreciate the suggestions
