    Please critique my setup

Lol. So true. Bender gets pissed when I make him chase the crickets. I usually hand feed him the little ones because I don't want them all over the house!

Stack rocks for the basking platform, over 110 is too much on the basking side. Feed him greens and I suggest hand feeding his live food. Otis the best way to bond with your new beardie

    Basking structures

I have never bought basking structures. My favorite is rocks. Easy to boil and clean, look nice, stack well, all the jazz. repicarpet

I hated repticarpet. Looks bad, crickets go under it, and Gets real dirty real fast and the poop just doesn't clean off. I prefer alfalfa or sand. I know you're thinking "omg he's using sand, he should read the article and he'll see how bad it is" :) Its up to you. If you want the safest and...

Bender only eats food out of his bowl (salad) and basically lives in his rock pile basking area, which has a cave that he sleeps in underneath. The Cave substrate is tile and the rest of the tank is alfalfa Pellets. I also do...

    DIY Basking Platforms

I have done two things for basking "structures" in Bender's tank. First, I went to the beach and got drift wood. I took it home, soaked it in water, and baked it for a while. (if you don't live by the beach any other wood could work, even fire wood, just make sure the size is appropriate for...
