Enclosure too big?

I am getting a baby beardie soon and the enclosure i have is a 60gal fishtank. Length 4ft, width 1ft, height 2ft. I know the width is small because i originally bought it for fish and I will upgrade when he's older. I also have a plan for feeding so he will actually be able to catch his food instead of chasing it around too much but I have heard that baby beardies shouldn't be in too big of a tank is this okay?

As long as you are able to maintain the proper temps and have a feeding plan your are fine. In fact the little one will appreciate all the extra room! :lol: You may want to start on the testing the temps now so when you have him it will be already adjusted. I have heard that big tanks stress out the beardies, but I have no personal experience. I got my guy at 2 months old, and he was fine in the 30ish gallon tank. How old Is the baby?
