I agree babies have to eat everyday. As for an adult mine can go a whole weekend without eating. All my reptile tanks are on timers I also put dark towels on the edge of their tanks to prevent light from coming in so it doesn't disturb the reptile however it doesn't bother my turtles one bit...

They make your life better yes but I do also feel like a slave at times lol. My male Toruk loves his dad more than me but I'm home a lot more than he is due to work but when his hammock falls or he "falls off" he just stares at me until I fix it for him. Spoiled!

It's harder to tell when thy are babies I think cause most of them look the same. My male looked like that then once he was shedding more he finally shed into this beautiful colored beardie with blue so it will be interesting to see what he looks like

My male had a tank buddy for 2 days until I got my female's tank I had to slit the tank cause he was biting her...

My male does not do that he takes his time eating, my female since she was a rescue kind of she does that. I just call her a fatty and I just cut back on her eating and she only does that when her heat lamp is on so I am guessing that has something to do with it?

I took our male out everyday as much as we could and now he is leash trained and enjoys people...not to fond of kids but he isn't around them enough to like them. He is a daddy's boy just keep working with them every day put your hand in the tank pick him up things like that before you know it...

Lol he tends to fall off his hammock a lot. But that is where he sleeps every night. That is his place...He doesn't move often well I lied. His morning workout then he back up on the hammock until lunch time. Eats then back up on the hammock. I am pretty sure that is his 3rd one. He keeps biting...

Mine refuses to use his substrate...he is like a cat..its get dirty he FREAKS! He uses his bowl...his water bowl or the tub. well at least he is trained in a way...

This is for future reference. Sometime soon we want to breed Toruk our beardie with a female my friend has. How would you go about introducing them together? I understand bobbing and biting is a dominance trait for males to do. But how can you possible prevent that or calming your the beardies...

my beardie Toruk bit part of his own tail off... he was like 4 months old when he did it too. But he's otherwise completely fine.
