I just use disinfecting wipes. After wiping the area, I just run over the area with a paper towel to get excess up, but shouldn't hurt them. Works good so far. Best of luck.

The best thing that I would suggest is to built one out of 2x4's. I built one for my 6'x2'x2' Viv and holds up. Just make sure to use good sized screws, maybe stay awY from drywall screws.
