i install floors so i have access to carpet tiles could i use them for substrate

i need to raise the humidity in the roach bin so do not have to mist have water crystals but the bin is still dryer than the room so i am thinking that a zoo med reptifogger would work on a timer. :) room humidity 35 to 40%
