just found out that YELLOWBEARD has fractured her arm jumping off the top of my head to her enclosure about 1' total noticed she had a knot on her arm waiting to hear from vet on futher treatment for now i will change her substrate to carpet tiles to soften her landings

That is horrible keep us posted on her and what treatment you do. For added support until you hear from the vet you could wrap the limb in some first aid wrap, or gauze wrap. Just wrap the fractured area, not too tight but not loose either. If you do this check on the wrapping for any hanging or snagged fibers, change 1-2 times a day. When are you supposed to hear back?

hopfully tomorrow she has no problem using it she still is walking well she just can not extend it all the way it is right by the elbow but if i do not hear back from the vet tomorrow i will try to wrap it (key word try) will let you know how it goes thank you from YELLOWBEARD and SLAVE

no word from my vet will call tomorrow tried to wrap her arm she was not going to stay still so i will try again tomorrow with some help

the vet is going to take a fluid sample from the injured area tomorrow hope everything goes well because i know she is not going to like it needles :bleick:

Oh Ok. I go to the Avian and Exotic Vet in Raleigh, and I like them so far. (in fact I drive 2 hours each way to take them there to the vet)
