My female started digging about 3 or 4 weeks after she started doing the little white things. Then a week after the digging I stuck her in a rubbermaid tub a 40 or 50 quart and I filled it with dirt...not fertilized the kind you buy that has nothing added to it just dirt. You can also use playsand just make sure its moist. Place her in it with a heat lamp and possibly a lid so she doesn't get out. I cut a while in my rubbermaid tubs lid big enough for my light to fit through. However, my other female got out and refused to lay her eggs in there. She ended up laying in the cage... Its really cool to watch them lay because they dig a huge cave like hole and then keep testing its structure by going on top of it. When it is just right they back up and lay the eggs in the hole and then bury it lightly and pound their head all around to pack it in. Sometimes they don't get all the eggs in the hole and they smash a few like my female lol. If they are not fertile you can just discard them but if they are you need an incubator, vermiculite, and a digital thermometer probe. My third female just mated about 2 weeks ago so I am going to start seeing the signs in about 2-3 weeks. Or longer depending on how long she holds the sperm for. Your yellow beard might not go as smooth as I am saying because its going to be her first time. I wouldn't suggest sticking a male in with her and let her lay slugs first (infertile eggs) its less stressful on her body.
