Its just shed. My beardy Sam, has that coloring on his tail. I was told for stubborn sheds, to try so witch hazel on the area. I have never tried it yet, but maybe someone else on here has and can chime in. Sam also does the hunger strikes. He is pretty picky so my choices of veggies he will...

    Coccidia and Poop

Well, Botch had a clean count as far as I could see. Would it hurt to give him a dose to Toltrazuril, just to be on the safe side?

I made a post on Craigslist asking about local vets-

People are retarded. I would have responded with "So, is that your philosophy with kids too? You can just "make" another one?" My animals whether furry, scaly, or slimey, see a vet and are well cared for. They are my "kids" since I can't actually have kids.

    Aggressive Beardie

After bathing Botch the other day, I was able to sex him. Turns out he is male too. Since I have the cages stacked on top of each other and the beardies are able to see one and other, could this be why Sam has been black bearding and head bobbing? Could it also explain why Botch is so aggressive?

    please help with shed

That's a very good possibility. I had never thought to use witch hazel to help with shedding. That's a clever idea for stubborn to come off pieces. Where do you buy yours?

    Best feeders: Pros And Cons?

Thanks! I hadn't heard that. From all the pictures I have seen of them, they just look like a giant tomato worm. Guess looks are deceiving. I think I may avoid them lol. I can't handle superworms, I prolly couldn't do a giant caterpillar with pinchers on the front lol

    Best feeders: Pros And Cons?

I have tried a coupke different brands with the same results. He used to love them dusted, but now won't touch them. It is the Herpivite brand with D3 for both the calcium and vitamins. I have been tossing around the idea of injecting the supplements into feeders. I thought that hornworms or...

    Best feeders: Pros And Cons?

Thanks! I had read a little about black soldier flies. And breeding them sounds expensive and not easy in my area. I will have to look into more prices on them. They are on my list of possible feeders just for the fact that they are rich in calcium. My oldest beardie, refuses to eat anyhing that...

    please help with shed

If the waxy part is where he hasn't shed, don't worry about it. Its normal. Thats how they look before they shed. Don't mess with it, it will come off when its ready too. As for the runny poo, I would say it has to do with being bathed 2x a day. If his setup is correct and his coloring is...

The Great Cricket Round Up, there's got to be a better way!!

The best way to avoid extra crix in the tank is to use a separate rubbermaid tote to feed in. That way you can just plce the beardie in there and not have to worry about crix eating your beardie at night.

    Best feeders: Pros And Cons?

I have been giving feeders a lot of thought lately since I now have 2 male beardies with healthy appetites. I normally feed crix and superworms that I bought at a local pet store. (The pet stores around here suck. You can't buy dubia, hornworms, phoenix worms, butter worms, etc.) I also give...

You think this steamer will work?

I have been doing research on steamers too as I need to get one. Is there a certain wattage you want? I am not sure how hot a steamer would have to get to kill coccidia in a cage. Any insight on this?

Steaming "Shouldnt" hurt the melamine. You just steam and wipe. you Might want to wait on others to chime in on that though. I bought some cleaner from beautifuldragons.co that is for Coccidia. you mix it 1oz cleaner to 1 quart water and then use the solution to scrub the area and all items in...
