Is 63 ok? That's what was read this morning before I turned on lights and using a CHE over his blankets. I'm also running the CHE as well because the temps were reading 84 and climbing up slowly.

o.k, it could be a little higher but that's reasonable. keep the lights on until 10 o'clock to keep as much heat in as possible for later when you turn the che on for the night.

Oh, I turned it off though around 7-8 PM and just got your message.

Woke up to check on his temperature this morning. It was 55 in his tank despite the CHE being at the foot of his bed. When I went to bed, it was 77 degrees. I decided to focus the direction of heat directly on him while he's covered- warm cave blanket tonight. I don't like it being below 65. I quickly ran both the CHE and heat lamp together to warm up the tank this morning. I put a small slate tile under him and once he was warmed enough, he moved off and ate.

I have good news. The new unit will be here this week. I've kept his tank as warm as possible. I hope he won't get sick. I also have a rice sock for humidity inside his tank. He has been acting alright and normally. Ate his greens this morning.
Two of his roaches passed away. I decided to put them inside the tank and hope that is going to be enough. If any more die, that's ok. He's not showing interest in bugs much.
I haven't been getting good sleep I guess because I wake up worried about him.

That is pretty cold but he should be O.K. Just keep watch of how he's breathing, whether he starts gaping , puffing or coughing. Good to hear that you'll be getting the new heat unit soon !

I'll keep an eye out for any puffing, coughing, gaping. I quickly heated his tank up as soon as I got up and kept the newspaper surround until the tank was very warm. He stayed under his lights for the most of the day until he ran around his tank and then planted himself on the bottom, staring at me. I have to help him up on his basking spot. He has only went out once today for snuggles and cuddles. Kisses. Then back in his tank.

Ok. He pooped today in his tank after glass dancing and running around in his tank. Last night his temps were 82. I'll be keeping him warm for the next few nights because I want to be sure he's not going to come down with something. It's warm in the house. Humidity ok.

I've been watching Maya. I'm thinking it's the worry wart Mommy feelings. I've been watching his activity. He will come off his basking spot and run around. Then he will sit on his cool side. I guess he moved off his basking spot while I was out getting some groceries for dinner. I placed him back on his basking spot and he was content on basking with his mouth wide open. His glottis is clear. But, when I went to put him to bed, he thermoregulated himself. I left his blanket off and he seemed to be ok?
I think I'm worried about him getting sick. I quickly kept him warm throughout the days I'm home. But, I cannot help if he climbs off his basking spot to cool down.
It was the first warm day, in the middle 80s.
I started to run the ac's to cool it down a little and to get rid of some of the humidity. (I didn't take a reading. But, it usually is higher in the house and low in his tank- about 37.

The new air conditioner and heater is in and it's working much better than my old LG. It doesn't 'stay on' all the time. It regulates itself and when it reaches the temperature set, it automatically turns on and off. Maya's doing well thankfully.

Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
Getting ready for another day. Feeling sleepy. 😴
I just walked into my room and instead of looking at me, Swordtail's eyes darted directly to the ice cream drumstick I'm holding
Finally replaced Swordtail's substrate
