Well after what happened with Elliott (getting sick so suddenly out of the blue). I decided that with Jethro I was going to get a fecal exam done every few months just to catch any potential problems. I'm glad I did because I took and sample in yesterday and this morning they told me that he...

Speaking of veggies...where I live they came out with a "Country Greens Mix" that they sell that is pre-cut and pre-washed. It has collard greens, mustard greens, and turnip greens in it. I get that and then add some squash. Makes it easy and gives Jethro some variety.

Jethro is not showing any signs of wanting to brumate and according to the breeder he wasn't when he was at their house either. I have NO problem with that!

Yes, isn't that always the way with any of our pets, and children for that matter :)

Hey Rukia, Yeah, I read your thread. It really stinks how some breeders just don't care. I did get a weight and length for Jethro. He's 500grams and 21.5 inches. I expected him to weigh more actually, but I guess not. He eats like a pig which is great!! He loves his baths...and he...

    Sleepy time!

I'm SO sorry to hear about what happened. How are your feelings towards Pip now? I guess the only thing you can do at this point is learn from the experience and be careful to keep the beardies more separated. At least when they are that different in size.

Jethro is really settling in well. He poops once a day and it's normal. He's eating his green every day. He has only had 1 worm since he's been here, but I think he is still going through a touch of relocation stress. He still has the stress marks lightly on his tummy at times, but for the...

PuffyLuv123 - That's actually not me in the picture. It's the breeder, but yeah Nightmare Before Christmas kicks @$$! And yes, I think he's adorable too! quigleysmom - Yeah, after experiencing having a bearded dragon I realized I did not want to be without one for long. It was SOOO hard to...

Thanks! Yeah if you look at Male #1 he has white stripes on his arms, legs and tail. Male #2 (Jethro) does not. Also if you looks at the two of them in comparison to the guys hands you can see Male #2 is bigger than Male #1. They are brothers and they did look quite similar though.

Well today was the day! I went and picked up my new little guy at noon. I picked the large male and named him Jethro! And what a LARGE male he is. I did not weigh or measure him because I was trying to keep stress at a minimum, but he definitely quite a bit larger than Elliott was. Elliott...

I brainstormed a few options for names last night. For a boy I came up with... Jupiter Julius Oliver Zeppelin Pan For a girl I only came up with Magine. I'm not really 100% sold on any of these names.

Can you believe I've actually already done all of those things the other night and still can't come up with a name I really love? I named my dogs easily, Elliott's name came easy to me...heck I even have a boy and a girl name picked out for my future children. For some reason I cannot come up...
